    "I'm from the future."

The words were out. No going back now. Lucy watched as the master paled -to the point where she was beginning to worry that he was going to pass out.

"C-can you say that again, dear Lucy?" She had the Master's full attention now. Lucy almost laughed at how she wasn't nervous to finally tell the truth (at least, part of it) to someone.

She sighed, "I said I'm from the future." It was silent for several moments. Master Makarov took his time with registering the information. Lucy waited patiently, but was it really that surprising that she was from the future? They've seen a lot of things during their battles, some weirder than time travel. Hell, They've even seen people from the future. One of them was her!

Makarov finally took a deep breath and spoke in a fatherly yet stern voice, "Okay, I'll trust you. But when did you come back? How did you even come back?"

"I came back about nine months ago. Almost ten. And for how I came here... well, I used a forbidden spell that only celestial mages can use." Her voice sounded kind of bored, as if she was talking about what to do today.

"That explains your sudden personality change. You had everyone worried for awhile, myself included." Lucy winced at that. "And a forbidden spell? Lucy, you know there forbidden for a reason. They can be highly dangerous. Have you experienced any side affects?"

Damn, Lucy forgot just how observant and smart Fairy Tail's guild master was. A certain pink haired idiot flashed through her mind. He too, was quite observant. To the point where it was starting to irritate her. "I know they can be dangerous, I needed to use it. You'll never understand how desperate I was; I hope you never understand. The side affects aren't important. They won't be causing any harm for me or anyone else, so don't worry about them." Makarov knew not to push Lucy, so he didn't. He just hopes that these side affects of the spell aren't too serious.

"I'll let that go for now. Now, For the main question, Why? Why did you find it Necessary to travel back in time?" He didn't fail to notice the subtle flinch from Lucy or the look of utter fear, anger and gut-wrenching sadness in Lucy's eyes. It saddened him to think about what one of his children had to face alone. He, along with everyone else, missed the light that had once adorned their celestial mage.

She clenched her teeth together and willed herself to speak in the same monotonous voice as before, "In about a year, a guild called Death Wish will come and attack. There goal was to gain the twelve golden keys so they could revive Acnologia. We were forced to run and hide as they tried to hunt us down. My spirits thought it would be best to disappear so they decided to break their own keys." Lucy's voice cracked at the end as she remembered the utter loneliness she felt when her spirits were forced to destroy their freedom. "After that, they just decided to turn it into the game. It was kill or be killed; no exception. After about a month, I was the only one left." She thought that was enough information to give. Lucy didn't want to admit that she thought the she couldn't talk about it anymore.

Shouldn't she be over this by now? It's almost been a year and here she is, fighting to stop all of the gruesome flashbacks. Lucy was going to save them, she'll change the outcome. No one's going to die. So why wasn't she over it?

"Lucy... I'm so sorry-" His voice was filled with something she didn't want. Pity.

"Don't. Don't be sorry. You have absolutely no reason to be sorry when you couldn't have possibly done anything." The blond took a deep breath to calm herself before continuing, "I wanted to tell you that in three months I'll be attacking Death Wish. I'm planning on leaving tomorrow to gather further information on the shit-guild. And I'm going to do it alone. No one is going to follow me and no one is going to fight with me. The only point in time I'll accept help is when they are defeated and need to be arrested. Got it?" Lucy didn't mean to sound rude, but it did get the point across.
