CLAIRE

"SIR JARED," I greeted the young boss Xander's friend when he entered the mansion, turning behind I see a beautiful girl standing there.

I don't dare say anything to her, afraid I might make a wrong move and my life ends. My short stay here has been hell. They made me do things much worse than Alyssa made me do. They even hit me and my brother Bryce whenever we weren't cooperating. One guy had the audacity to grab my ass this one time and Bryce couldn't accept it, and they started throwing hands. I wish Bryce wasn't here. I wished he hadn't followed me that night. Right now, he would be staying back at the Keller Mansion with his family. I wonder what Maria is doing right now. Has she noticed our absences? Well...Bryce's. She doesn't care about me. I've caused nothing but trouble. I've never seen her around here before. With what happened earlier, I wasn't expecting the Gambinos to have guests at this time.

"Where are they?" Jared asked, looking around.

"While you were gone, Miss Tarrah, Alyssa, and Xan-" I was saying but then he interrupted me, sounding urgent.

"I mean the big bosses," He uttered quietly, coming closer to me.

"Ma'am Emilia is in her room, crying herself to sleep," I answered, "Sir Daniel went out an hour ago, but Danilo is currently resting."

Jared looks out to the front yard before grabbing my arm, pulling me along with him. My feet were killing me, but it's getting better. He drags me to the empty dining room with the girl following right after.

"We don't have time," Jared said after making sure the coast was clear, "They're here."

"Who's here?" I say quietly.

"The Dragons are here for their Lady Dragon," Jared informed me.

"They're here for Alyssa," I whisper and he nods, pulling his gun out and I gulp in fear. Is he going to kill me? What's going to happen to me?

"Listen to me," Jared hissed when I was dazing out.

I look at him, heart racing in my chest as I listen to what he has to say, "I need you to do something for me." Nodding, I answered, "O-okay."

"Put this in the old man's herbal tea," Jared orders, reaching into his jacket then pulling out a tiny bottle, and placing it in my clammy, shaky hand. "When you're done, get out of the house as fast you can."

XANDER

SITTING on the hard floor, I look at my phone, seeing that beautiful smile that always has my heart skipping a beat. My life is colored in white and black now with her gone. She was the rainbow in my world.

Sighing, I turn off my phone and stare at the wall, thinking of my next move. I intentionally switched up the papers during the wedding. They wrote stuff on it for all of us to do. It was like a contract. I wasn't stupid so I had Jared do me a favor and replace them. It was to protect Alyssa. I can do whatever I want with her since she is my second wife, but I choose to take care of her. Let them get a taste of their own medicine. These people like doing to people what they don't like done to them and it is so unfair. Soon or later, they'll get what they deserve.

The hallway is quiet now. Earlier, all I could hear was my father's scream of pain and agony. I couldn't do anything to defend him since we're both locked in different rooms. Daniel and his man were beating him to try to get me to apologize, but I have my pride. My father has his as well. I just hope that now he has his eyes opened. That he sees what I'm seeing. Will he still choose to side with them instead of me? His only son?
