Oh to actually update somewhat consistently again (if only I could update my other stories too, fml). Anyways, I hope you enjoy, this one's a bit longer than the previous few:)

Midnight was the first to her bedside, not counting the doctor. She was all up on her friend in an instant, hugging her and sobbing.
Yamada joined not shortly after, yet Aizawa didn't move from his spot. Endeavor noticed this and approached, prompting, "What're you doing standing there?"
"Why are you?" Aizawa almost spoke up in apology, not knowing why he replied in such a defensive manor.
"I don't belong at that bedside, Eraser. You do, far more than anyone else here right now."
If you were to ask either of these men if they thought they'd be having this sort of conversation years ago, you'd get laughed at.
Whilst everyone else in the room — except for Shoto, was either at her bedside or left — they remained near the closed door, speaking quietly enough that the only person that heard them was each other.
And Shoto.
The mans silence gave way to thoughts that Endeavor thought must've been his own ego — despite how crippled it's been in recent years. "Don't tell me you don't think you should be over there, Shouta Aizawa. You'd have to be a fool, and I'd like to think a fool isn't training my son."
Do they even know I'm listening? The young boy wondered, as he continued to do so. Does this count as listening to tea... or whatever Mina called it?
"Don't tell me you're feeling a form of envy—"
"No, I'm—"
"I know that look, Eraser. Don't lie to me. I've had that look far too many times in my life to not recognize it. I may be a piece of shit—"
"True." Shoto cut in, though all Enji did was turn around and look at him, not tell him to go away or disagree in any form.
"—but I'm not that stupid. And as nonchalant as you are, you're pretty obvious sometimes. You look at me the same way I looked at All Might." Those words cut straight through Aizawa, and it was clear to both Todoroki's present. "And I am the goddamn last person you should be looking at like that."
"True," Shoto again, interjected.
"So... are you two going to stand over there menacingly, or are you going to come here? You look like dejected children at recess... just, the kind who throw rocks." [L/n]'s voice broke through their conversation.
Aizawa didn't understand why stepping towards her in the moment was so hard. Though, he didn't get much a choice in the matter as Enji shoved him.
And not gracefully, either.
The folks around her made way as the man was rammed straight to her bedside, bent over the railing. As flustered as he was, he'd managed to keep his composure as there were far too many people around — including one of his students.
"Damn Shouta, didn't peg you for the type to let a man bend you over~" Teased Yamada, who received a quite violent hit to the back of the head.
It was relief though, the room erupting with laughter. It almost didn't feel real... that things were actually going to be okay.
Endeavor himself didn't speak another word as he and Shoto began to make their exit. Though before he could fully cross the threshold of the door, he was stopped.
"Thank you, Enji." He paused at her words, yet chose not to reply and he and Shoto took their leave.
"Do you think Aizawa Sensei was afraid to approach Lightbringer because she's gay?" Asked the young Todoroki, far too seriously for Endeavor's liking.
