And then my body was moving on its own, shaking furiously as I convulsed. Before my eyes slipped shut, I caught a glance of Aizawa, and recognised how terrified he was.

What's happening to me?

I slipped unconscious.

Aizawa's POV

"Doctor!" I yelled down the hallway, panicking as Todoroki continued to seizure on the bed, his heart monitor letting out rapid beeps. "I need a doctor!"

It wasn't long until Talki arrived in the room with two other nurses, all of them looking focused as they attempted to hold Todoroki down, knowing that the convulsing would aggravate his broken back and his other injuries.

One of the nurses, a short one with pastel blue hair, quickly assured me out of the room.

"I'm sorry, Mr Aizawa, but the only ones allowed in the room right now are the doctors and any blood related family." She rushed, assuring me into the hallway.

"Wait, I'm his teacher. Please, let me stay with him –."

My attempts to get passed her failed as she shook her head.

"Again, sir, you have to step back. You're not related."

I was about to protest and say that I was his legal guardian when I heard footsteps thud down the hallway, and a hand on my shoulder pulled me back slightly.

"What's going on with Shouto? Is he okay?" I turned to see Bakugou, his hands trembling as he watched me desperately.

I looked over the blondes shoulder to see Midoriya wheeling himself over, a worried and pained expression on his face as he arrived beside Bakugou. Midnight had just arrived at the end of the hallway, and she quickly took note of the situation as she placed her hands on the handles of Midoriya's wheel chair.

"Todoroki's having a seizure." I explained, looking back over to Bakugou, whose trembling just worsened.

"I – what?" he exclaimed, trying to look past me and push the nurse aside. "Let me in. Let me see him, goddammit!"

The blue haired nurse was about to tell him no, and repeat her 'only family allowed' speech when I put my hand on Bakugou's shoulder, calming the teen while the nurse looked frustrated.

"Bakugou is family. His parents adopted Todoroki. He should be allowed in." I explained, getting a small nod of appreciation from the teen.

The nurse only nodded, and quickly looked to her side at a file. She then grabbed Bakugou by the arm and pulled him into the room.

"You cannot touch him, and you have to stay away from us while we stabilize him." She informed, the door closing behind the two.

I clenched my teeth together and turned when I heard the heartbreaking sound of sobs coming from behind me. I looked down and instantly kneeled next to Midoriya, the young teen struggling to wipe his tears from his eyes as he stared at Todoroki's room door.

"Midoriya," I said gently, placing my hands on his shoulders. "It's okay, I promise. Everything is going to be okay."

The greenette sniffed. "Y-You don't understand."

I shook my head, moving one of my hands to swipe his hair from his forehead before wiping some of his tears away.

"I sometimes cry as well, Midoriya," I admitted, still using my thumbs to wipe his tears. "It's okay to cry."

Midoriya just sobbed more, and I cursed my people skills.

Instead of talking, I looked up at Midnight, who looked like she was about to use her quirk. She paused before she did so, looking to me for confirmation before continuing.

I nodded, and took a deep breath, a pink fog beginning to float around us as Midoriya slowly began to lose consciousness.

The teen fell forward, making me catch him as his sobs slowly subsided until he was just silently shaking. I pet his head gently and allowed his arms to fall over my shoulders, sighing when I felt wet tears continue to soak my neck.

". . . Aizawa . . ?" I was slightly surprised when Midoriya spoke, but I came to the realisation that he was probably trying to fight off Midnight's quirk, which was beginning to fade.

"Shhh, it's okay. Go to sleep, Midoriya. You must be tired." I whispered into his neck.

The greenette shifted slightly. "Yeah . . . I am . . . tired . . ."

His voice was weak, and his limbs stopped shaking.

"Go to sleep," I murmured again, looking up and meeting Midnight's eyes. "Everything will be better when you wake up."

When I got no reply, I slowly slipped Midoriya back onto his wheel chair and picked up a pillow that had fallen to my lap. I held it in my arms as I stood and took the handles, nodding at Midnight.

"Thank you for your help. You can go back to UA now, if you'd like."

The R rated hero flashed me a smile and nodded, her heels clicking as she walked down the hospital corridor before she vanished from sight.

I sighed and looked down at the sleeping teen, gripping tighter to the handles as I began to push the chair back to Midoriya's room.

A minute later I was there, and I carefully lifted the sleeping boy into my arms and laid him on the bed, a satisfied sigh escaping Midoriya's lips as his head sank into the pillow. I returned his IV and oxygen to the stand by his bed, and pushed the wheel chair to the corner of the room, taking the spare pillow and gently placing it under Midoriya's still bandaged leg in hopes that some of the swelling and bruises might fade. Even though Recovery Girl had healed his broken bone, she couldn't complete the treatment because Midoriya was still too weak as well as unstable mentally.

I hope he'll be okay, I thought, sitting next to my student on the guest chair. Midoriya has proven time and time again that he has what it takes to become one of the best hero's the world has ever seen, however he needs to learn to deal with his emotions better and become stronger. He won't survive one day in the hero world if he continues on like this.

When I glanced down at Midoriya's hand, I noticed that a small purple flower was resting between his fingers. I quickly remembered the photo that Bakugou sent Todoroki, the one where Midoriya was smiling like nothing in the world could stop him, but looking at him now, with the flower beginning to wither, I realised that nothing beautiful is ever what they seem.

Beauty is just used to hide the darkness that lurks in the background.

"I'll help you, problem child," I muttered, crossing my arms over my chest. "I'll help you be able to smile again without faking it."
