"What are you doing here?" Eui shot him a perplexed look. She was avoiding the boy just a while ago but there he was, standing in her living room once again. Destress? What was he even talking about? She couldn't afford to slack off with multiple deadlines just around the corner.

She totally wants that ice cream though.

Heeseung threw himself onto the couch as if he owned the whole place, earning a look of disbelief from the girl who stood by the doorway. "Like I said, we should just relax for tonight. You've been working so hard lately. I'm afraid you might die in the middle of taking that exam."

"Heeseung, if I don't study right now, I'm gonna get a failing grade."

Heeseung scoffed. "What? You? Getting a failing grade? I doubt that. You'd still be smarter than seventy percent of the students even if you didn't study."

His eyes trailed down her outfit and he resisted the urge to walk over and squeeze the life out of her cheeks. She looks so adorable in those pajamas. He turned his attention elsewhere, a small tinge of pink covering his cheeks.

Eui huffed before making her way towards the couch, grabbing the plastic bag Heeseung had been carrying earlier. She hugged it to her chest and Heeseung could see the distinct look in her eyes. It was as if Eui was that Gollum from 'Lord of the Rings' and was going to call the ice cream 'her precious' any second now.

He propped his upper body up with his right arm and sent her a teasing smile. "I know you want that ice cream, Eui. I bought that just for you~" Heeseung continued to tease.

"No, no. I have to study." Eui, you have to study. The girl kept repeating it to herself over and over as she placed the tub of ice cream back down on the couch. I have to study. She moved her gaze to Heeseung lying on the couch. He smiled upon eye contact, making her avert her eyes elsewhere. Yeah, I really have to study. She looked back at the bag of chips along with the deliciously cold dessert right beside the boy. But it wouldn't hurt to enjoy the snack just a bit, right?

"Okay, fine." Eui sighed. "After we eat dinner, we'll chill just for one hour."

Heeseung pumped a fist in the air, basking in his victory of persuading the girl. He sat up and gave her another convincing look. "Honestly, you should make that two hours."

"Stop tempting me and--"

"Oh, Mrs. Kang!" The boy interrupted her mid-speech, immediately standing up as soon as he saw her mother who had just walked out of the kitchen. The elder wasn't too surprised in seeing the boy and flashed him a kind smile.

"Good evening, Heeseung. Have you eaten dinner already?" Eui's mother asked him. Heeseung shook his head timidly, feeling a bit shy once again. "Then come and join us for dinner," she coaxed him as she placed the plate of grilled beef and kimchi on the table. Heeseung's mouth almost watered at the delicious scent that filled the air.
