Chapter Thirteen

Jace's POV

When I was in Clary's room, I noticed that she looked worried. Looking at her now, walking down the stairs, she still seems worried despite the wide smile on her face. I can see it in her eyes.
"Clare bear, are you alright?" I ask. "You seem worried."
"I'm fine." She said breezily. "Just worried about seeing Alec again."
I can tell she's lying to me, but I don't push it.
"Okay." Is all I say.

Clary's POV

When Jace asks me if I'm alright, I'm worried that he saw the letter.
"I'm fine." I say breezily. "Just worried about seeing Alec again."
I think I came across as to off handed because I can see the disbelief in his eyes.
"Okay." He says as he steers me towards the library.

Isabelle's POV

I can't believe how mean Alec was to Clary. Like, I get why he's mad and all, but he was extremely mean.
"Alec, when Clary comes back down, I want you to apologise." I instruct.
"Fine." He grumbles.

After Clary had run up to her room with Jace following her, Jem, Will, Tessa, Magnus and I have been grilling Alec to find out why he was so mean to Clary. It's just not like him.

At the sound of the library doors opening, everyone's heads turned to see who it is.
Jace and Clary walk in and Jace glares at Alec.
"Alec, do you have something you want to say?" I ask him.
"Fine. I'm sorry I shouted at you Clary. It's just that I hate you and you are completely stupid." He announces.
Everyone gaped at him.
"Alexander, get out." I say, pointing at the door.

Alec's POV

God, why did Izzy send me out of the room instead of her. Clary ruined everything.
Hang on, why am I talking like this? I like Clary. God, one day she might even be my sister in law. What's wrong with me?
I shake my head.
No, Alec. You hate Clary and you will make sure she is never your sister in law. You'll kill her before that happens.
Wait, what? Kill Clary? Why on earth would I do that?
I come to a realisation.
I must be possessed by a demon.

Hey guys!
This is my second update today and I'm so excited!
What did you guys think about Alec realising that he might be possessed by a demon?
It was a total plot twist for me and I had no idea I was going to do it.
