Jace's POV
God, what is up with Alec? He just isn't acting like himself at all. I have a feeling that something is wrong but I just don't know what.
Suddenly, there is a sharp pain in my heart. I look down at my parabatai rune and see it pulsing. Something is definitely wrong with Alec.
The pain is getting worse.
"Aaaaaaargh!" I scream in pain. I can hear footsteps hurrying down the stairs, but I'm to weak to form a sentence. The world swims before my eyes and suddenly I am enclosed in darkness.Clary's POV
I hear Jace scream from downstairs and I hurry to the door. As I open it, I sense that something is wrong. Ignoring it, I follow the sound of Jace's cry of pain.
Just as I'm about to go down the stairs, someone grabs me by the back of my neck and pushes be towards the wall.
"Going somewhere, are we?" A rough voice rasps.
I gasp as I struggle to breathe.
"Alec, put me down." I say.
"I don't think so." He says, grinning maniacally.
"Seriously, your own parabatai is down there in pain. Why aren't you down there with him?" I ask.
Alec laughed.
"The thing is, Clary, it would serve him better to be away from me."
"Why is that?" I ask, my voice cracking.
"I'm the one causing his pain." He stated. At this point, Alec's grip is so strong that I can see the world swimming in front of my eyes. I'm going to black out any second.
"Oh, and one more thing, remember to meet Sebastian in the park, or Jace's pain will get a lot worse." Alec grins and tightens his grip.
I fall to the ground and let the darkness claim me.Hey guys,
