Chapter Sixteen

Jace's POV

Clary was the last one to see Alec. Why didn't she tell me straight away? A lot of emotions are running through me right now. Anger. Relief. Disbelief. Pain. Love. Which one should I show?
"Why didn't you tell me straight away?" I ask.
"I only just remembered." She replied.
"Okay." At this point, I am pacing around the room. "What did he look like? What did he say?"
"Well, he looked a bit crazy and he didn't say much." Clary is biting her lip. She's lying to me.
"Clary, what did he do to you?" I ask.
"What do you mean? Alec did nothing to me."
"Clary! I can tell your lying! Answer me!" I take her by the shoulders and shake her.

"Jace, stop." She says weakly.
"Not until you tell me what he did!" I am shaking her roughly now and she's on the verge of tears.
Good. I hate her so much.
Wait, what? I don't hate Clary! She's my love, my life. God, one day she might even be my wife!
No, she won't. You'll kill her before that happens.
I stop shaking Clary and run out of the room. I don't know what's come over me. My gut just tells me to stay away from Clary in case I hurt her.

Clary's POV

What is going on? I thought that Jace loved me, but he's trying to hurt me. The same happened with Alec.
Something is going on.
I look out of the window. It's nearly evening and I feel so tired.
Pulling the sheets up over my head, I fall fast asleep.

Sebastian's POV

I sit at my desk riffling through many pieces if paper.
"Where is it?" I grumble.
At the moment, I can't find the piece of paper that states that the demons of this random cave gave me permission to draw dark magic runes it it.
"Oh, who cares, I'll just kill them." I decide.

Laying back on my chair, I think about all that I have achieved this week.
Convince a demon to posses Alec.
Convince a demon to posses Jace.
Thinking about it, I really haven't done much this week.

"Amatis!" I call.
She comes running into the room.
"Yes sir?"
"Set the portal to the London Institute. I'm going to pay my sister a visit."
