"Maddison! Wake up!" Ava's voice woke me up "what? Why are you shouting?" I asked still half asleep and very confused! "Its 8:30! You need to get ready for your date!"
"Seriously Ava? Im not late... If it was 11 then yes you can wake me up screaming like a mad woman, but I've got plenty of time" i told her snuggling into my duvet again."well you might as well get up now your awake" she shrugged "no Ive got half hour yet and I'm comfy" i moan "fine, move over" she laughed and got in next to me "you nervous?" She asked me "shitting myself!" I admit laughing, Ava looked at me with a raised eyebrow "why you so nervous? You weren't this nervous going to meet Matt yesterday" i thought about her question for a few seconds, she was right i didnt feel half this nervous yesterday "i guess its because i know who im meeting. I know how sweet and gorgeous Jai is, he makes me nervous.... But in a good way, you know?" I said hoping that made sense "i get it, i was like that with Jax when we first met" she smiled "now look at us"
"Yep, married and living the other side of the world"
"But I'm happy, i wouldn't change it for the world"
"You found a good one Ava, he'd do anything for you. Id love to find that one day" i said, my tone sounding more sad than i had meant, of course she picked up on it straight away "you will Mads, you deserve it too. Josh was an arsehole the way he treated you- id kill him if i ever saw him again"
"He texted me last night" i decided to tell her.
"What?? You fucking kidding me?"
"Nope, told me he missed me and wanted to come over"
"Did you reply?"
"I did" i nodded and her eyes went wide "Maddison! Why would you...." She started to go off on one of her rants "i didn't fall for his shit relax Ava!" I cut her off before she went full mode on me. "Thats good. Why cant he just leave you alone? Hasn't he hurt you enough?"
"I think his half the reason I'm so nervous about Jai, I'm scared of getting hurt again" i admitted "I'm trying not to think about it, what with this being our first date, but its there in the back of my mind"
"Thats gonna be expected though hun, its gonna take time to get over the hurt he caused you" she took my hand "it'll be fine Mads, just go with it. He'll love you i know it"
"How do you know that?" I said quietly "because i love you, and i don't love easy" we both laughed and hugged it out "i guess i should get up and get pretty" i sighed not wanting to leave my bed yet.
"You want me to help or you ok?" Ava offered "I'm good thanks" i almost laugh at her desire to help me get ready for my date "okay, i'll be waiting downstairs".
I finally managed to drag myself out of bed, i jumped in the shower and then done my hair and put on my make up. Then i chose an outfit, i went with blue skinny jeans and purple vest with an off the shoulder dark purple jumper and my converse. It was casual but pretty, i felt comfortable thats all that mattered right now. I looked at the time at it was nearly 11am, i grabbed my bag and checked i had my money and phone and then headed downstairs.
"You look great" Ava smiled when i walked into the living room "thanks, god Ava i'm so nervous!" I admitted feeling all hot and bothered, Ava just laughed "you'll be fine"
"I cant do this...."
"What??..... You have to!"
There was a knock at the door that interrupted them, they stared at each other "his early!" I panicked "calm down it might not be him" Ava said turning to go answer the door. "Hi, can i help you?" I heard her ask "hi, I'm here to pick up Maddison" i heard that Aussie accent and my heart started to race! "You must be Jai, come in. Im Ava"
"Nice to meet you Ava"
"And you, come through Maddison's in here". I took some deep breaths trying to pull it together. "Mads you have a visitor" Ava said, i turned around and almost wet myself at the face she was pulling at me, Jai had her approval it would seem! "Hey Jai" i smiled sweetly, he came over and kissed me on the cheek "hey, you look nice" he smiled down at me. It was then i noticed he was quite a bit taller than me, i felt tiny standing next to him! "Thanks, so do you" and he really did! He was wearing tight black jeans, dark grey t-shirt, a black jacket and burgundy high top trainers, with his sunglasses hanging on the collar of his top. Oh and he smelt soooo good!
"So are you ready to go?" He asked me getting my attention "yeah I'm ready" i smiled, after saying goodbye to Ava we headed out.
"So, you gonna tell me where we're going.... Or what we're doing?" I asked with a smile as we reached the road, " you ever been on a motorcycle before?" He asked stopping at a huge bike and picking up a helmet. I stared at him in horror "are you shitting me?" I asked, he found that funny for some reason "no im not shitting you" he smirked
"Jai.... I cant....."
"Yes you can, come on its fun. Just hold on to me and you'll be fine" he said smiling "you trust me right?"
"I dont know you" i laugh a little
"But you trust me anyway"
"Fine! If i die im so haunting you!" We both laugh, he puts the helmet on me making sure its secure "there you go, beautiful" he smiles and climbs on the bike "climb on then, don't be shy" "oh god" i mutter and climb on behind him. He starts it up and scares the life out of me, now I'm laughing like a crazy person and Jai joins in "come on lets get going, wrap your arms around me and just go with it" he says over the sound of the engine. I nod and hold on tight, then we're off.
The feeling is amazing, i cant put it into words! I can feel the muscles in Jai's stomach as i hold on to him and Its making me think about about how good he must look naked! I try to think of something else, anything else, but i cant! Then we're coming to a stop and it goes quiet. Jai takes his helmet off and turns to me with that sexy smile "you ok?" He asks me, i nod "yeah, that was actually a lot of fun" i tell him as he helps me with my helmet.
"I feel like I'm deaf now though"
"You'll get used to it" he said smiling "come on" he held his hand out to me, i hesitate and he notices "i don't bite. Not on the first date anyway" that makes me laugh, i relax and i take his hand, letting him lead the way.
