Around lunch time my phone rang, i smiled when i saw it was Jai. "Hey baby" i answered
"Hey gorgeous, I'm just checking in"
"Im fine" i told him truthfully "just missing you"
"I miss you too, i'll be home as soon as this is over i promise"
"I cant wait" i smiled "oh, did you leave the doors in the bedroom open this morning?"
I asked, it was really bugging me.
"No why?" He tone was different
"Its nothing, i must have opened them.... Or maybe i didn't close them properly last night..." I couldn't remember.
"Whats going on?"
"Nothing, I'm just overthinking things. First time alone in the house and all" i laugh "don't worry I'm fine"
"Are you sure? I can get someone to come over..."
"Jai i don't want strangers in my house. Im ok anyway, just freaking myself out"
"Ok, please remember to set the alarms!"
"I will stop worrying"
"Jai, their ready for you" i heard a woman say in the background "babe i gotta go, their calling me"
"Okay, good luck. Not that you need it. I love you"
"Love you too" he said and ended the call.
At around 6pm i got a call from Ava "hey, hows your weekend away?" I asked her
"We're at home, we got called back"
"Why? What happened?"
"Someone broke in" she cried
"What??!" I was shocked to hear this "they trashed the place Mad's, the thing is nothings missing!"
"But why would they break in just to trash the place?"
"I have no idea. The thought that someones been in my home is freaking me out"
"Well you guys are welcome to come stay here, Jai's away until at least Sunday"
"We've gotta gotta stay and sort things out here tonight, but i'll take you up on your offer tomorrow"
"Good, i'll be glad for the company too" i said looking around at the big empty house i was in. "I need to talk to you about something too" i told her feeling nervous "you wanna talk now?" Ava asked.
"No it can wait, you go do what you gotta do. Come round when your ready you've got keys and the alarm code right?"
"Yeah, we'll come over as soon as we're done"
"Okay hun, hope you get it sorted soon"
"Me too. Love u Mads"
"Love u too" i hung up feeling angry for my friends, it must be horrible going through that.
I had dinner and put a film on, some crappy chic flick but i wasn't about to watch something that would scare me while I'm home alone!
It was about 11:40pm when i got up to set the alarms and went to bed. I put on Jai's t-shirt that he left on the bed, it still smelt like him and i went to bed with a smile on my face.
I was woken up by the alarm system going off! I sat up feeling petrified, my phone started ringing i answered it quickly "hello" i whispered, quietly getting out of bed. "Hi this is RDF security, we've just been alerted to your system being tripped. Are you ok mam?" A man asked
"I... I dont know, i think someone might be in my house" i said walking carefully over to bedroom door. I opened the bedroom door and walked into the hall, i heard a crash up the end where Jai's office was and the alarms went silent.
"Mam?"
"I think it might be my boyfriend...." I said then a tall dark figure stepped out, it WASNT Jai!
"Its not him! Please send help!" I cried "okay mam, can you lock yourself in your room??"
I turned and went back in my room slamming the door and locking it, i turned to the chest of drawers that sat next to the door and pushed them in front of the door. "Please hurry" i said quietly to the man on the phone.
"Hold tight mam, help is on the way". My heart was racing, id never been so scared in my life!
I wanted to cry but i was too scared. I backed away from the door until i bumped into someone!
I froze as i felt the body of someone behind me. Then screamed as he reached around me for my phone, he threw it hard against the wall and it smashed.
"What do you want?!!" I cried, as his arms wrapped around me i screamed and tried to struggle away but he turned me around and shoved me against the wall. I couldn't see his face it was too dark and he wore a hood. "Please don't hurt me" i begged closing my eyes. I felt him move and opened my eyes as he lowered his hood.
"Im not going to hurt you baby"
Josh smiled at me like a mad man!
"Josh....? What the fuck are you doing!" I couldn't believe it!
"Im here to remind you that im the one your meant to be with"
"What?? Your crazy!... How did you even find me!"
"I have my ways" he smirked, it was evil, i had never seen this side to Josh. I would never thought he would go this low.
"Oh my god...." Something occurred to me then "your the one who trashed Ava's place" it made sense now, he was looking for my address and knew she'd have it.
He smiled looking proud of himself "i had to find you Maddison, your mum had Ava's address"
"You've been at my mums place??!"
"That doesn't matter, all that matters is you come to your senses and leave with me. We belong together"
"Your crazy..... Josh what happened to you?" He was a complete stranger, i had been with him for nearly 4 years before we broke up but this wasn't him. "You broke my heart" he replied "you destroyed me. Loosing you changed me"
"Josh none of it was my fault! You fucking Kristina is what ended us. Im not angry any more, you did me a favour"
"Your talking about your Aussie boytoy?" He looked angry again "he doesn't love you like i do. You just need to remember how good it was with us..... I'll remind you of how i made you feel" he said, i felt his hand move between my legs and let out a cry "Josh no!..... Please don't do this...." I cried trying to get away from him but he was too strong. His hand went under my shirt and caressed my breast, my body was trembling with fear. He forced his mouth on mine and i took the opportunity and bit his lip as hard as i could, he let out a scream shocked my my actions and hit me in the face. He threw me on the bed and was trying to take my panties off as i struggled to get away from him. "Stop fighting me i know you want it! You always loved the way i fucked you Maddison"
"Josh please don't" i cried as he started opening his trousers "PLEASE STOP!!!!!" I screamed a "Josh I'm pregnant!" I sobbed beneath him and he froze instantly "Your what?" He said in disgust
"Im.. Pregnant"
"I don't believe you"
"See for yourself, the test is in the bathroom" i said quickly.
Josh got up and walked into the ensuite bathroom. I jumped out of the bed and run to the back doors but they were locked.
"Maddison...?" I heard Jai call, he was back early! -thank god!
"Jai! Im in here!!" I yelled running over to the dresser that id pushed in front of the door, i only managed to move it about an inch when Josh came running over and pulled me away by my hair making me scream. "Jai!! Help me" i cried being pushed back down on the bed. I saw Jai appear at the door, horror on his face.
"Don't you fucking touch her you son of a bitch!" He yelled shoving against the door.
"Josh please... Your not this guy" i cried still trying to push him away.
"You don't know me Maddison"
All i heard was a loud crash and Jai came flying through the door, Josh tried to get up in time to try and put up a fight but Jai had already grabbed him and pulled him away from me, he kept punching Josh in the face. I could hear sirens.... It was finally going to be over.
I got off the bed and went over to Jai "Jai thats enough!" I tried to get him to stop hitting Josh "Jai your going to kill him!"
"I don't care, this bastard deserves to die for what his done!" He said in a blind rage.
"Jai please, we need you here not in Jail!" I cried, he stopped and turned to me "we?"
"Im pregnant" i told him, he looked at me and shook his head "Jai.... " I said worrying he was going to freak out but he just pulled me into his arms.
The police came in calling out for me "in here" i called.
"Sir step away from her please" the officer said to Jai.
"its ok, this is my boyfriend. Thats who broke in" i pointed to Josh who was laying on the floor. Jai took off his jacket and put it around me, i remembered i was only wearing a shirt now and pulled it tighter around me.
We stood watching as they cuffed Josh and removed him.
"We'll need to talk to you two, get statements. We'll just put him in the car" one of the officers said leaving me and Jai on our own.
