Ava had literally thrown herself into my arms when she opened the door and sobbed. After packing her some clothes we drove back to mine and Jai's.
"Babe we're back" i called out as we walked in, there was no answer "he was here when i left" i said shrugging "he probably got called to work..."
He came walking through the back door with an arm full of groceries "there you are" i smiled "i thought id grab you girls some stuff to cheer you up" he said putting the bag down on the side. He pulled out 2 tubs of Ben & Jerry's cookie dough ice cream, popcorn, dvds and face masks and then looked at me "and these are especially for you" he passed me a jar of pickles with a loving smile "thank you Jai, thats so sweet" i laughed and kissed him, i loved this man so much he was perfect in every way.
"Whatever you do don't get married, everything changes when your married" Ava said.
"Come on you don't mean that, your just angry right now" Jai said going over and giving her a hug "you both just need some time to cool off"
"Ava what happened anyway? You still haven't said" i had asked in the car but she was too busy crying. "I had been out shopping and thought id drop in the shop to say hi, i caught one of those skanks all over him"
"What skanks?" Jai asked looking confused, i explained to him about the girls that hung around Jax and his bike gang.
"I called him on it and he said i was crazy, just imaging it.... What if he had seen some guy with his hands all over me?? He would've killed him"
"You've got a point there" Jai replied "id flip out if i saw a guy doing that to Mad's"
"See! But no he just storms out and leaves me!"
"Ava he'll come back" i say trying to make her feel better "but tonight you can stay with us and eat ice cream"
"Sounds perfect" she smiled "thank you guys, im so lucky to have you"
"Don't be silly, thats what friends are for".
The next morning i went for a swim with Ava while Jai went for his morning run.
"Mads your so lucky, to have this in your garden whenever you want"
"I never thought id have all this, i felt like the luckiest girl im the world when i met Jai. Then i got this beautiful home and baby boy on the way.... Its seems like a dream"
"Wait... Your having a boy?!"
"Yeah" i smiled "we found out yesterday"
"You should've said!"
"Don't be silly, it wasn't the right time yesterday"
"Im sorry, I've been selfish"
"Ava you haven't been selfish! Id would have reacted the same way as you"
"Jai would never do that to you"
"You don't know that for sure" i shrugged, i trusted Jai but i was always worried he'd realise he could do better.
"Lets go get some breakfast" i said getting out the pool, i wrapped a towel around myself and dried off. Jai came through the back gate all hot and sweaty.... He looked so good! "Hey babe" i smiled at him "hey gorgeous" he gave me that sexy little smirk of his "look who i found outside" he walked in followed by Jax "someone came to their senses".
"We'll give you guys a minute" i said to Ava and went inside with Jai. "Did you call him?" I asked Jai suspiciously.
"Maybe....."
"You make me love you more everyday Jai Courtney" i smiled and wrapped my arms around him "Mad's I'm all sweaty...."
"I like you sweaty" i laugh and press my lips to his "oh really? Because i was going to ask you to come take a shower with me" he shrugged "i like you better naked though" i said trying to be serious but we both laughed. Jai took my hand and pulled me into our bathroom, as i passed the bedroom window i saw Ava and Jax kissing and holding each other, i smiled knowing my best friend had sorted things out with her husband.
