"You didn't have to bring me with you you know?" I said to Jai as he threw our bags in the back of his car "I'm quite capable of staying on my own"
"I want you with me Maddison, your nearly 8 months along now I'm not leaving you home alone" he replied looking at me like i was crazy "plus last time i left you alone your crazy ex tried to attack you"
"My crazy ex is locked up" i reminded him.
"I know I'm just saying, when i leave you on your own bad things happen"
"So now you feel like you have to drag me around with you" i said feeling like a burden on him. he walked over and pulled me into his arms "don't you ever think your a burden on me. I love having you with me! Its actually perfect because i can work and still spend time with you" he pressed his lips to mine.
"Are you sure?"
"Of course i am" he smiled and caressed my swollen stomach "theres nothing more i want than having my family with me" he opened the car door for me to get in "you wont be saying that when we have a screaming newborn keeping you up all night" i reminded him as i struggled into the car. I felt huge, and didn't understand how Jai could even look at me like this! "I cant wait for all that" he said smiling "its all part of being a parent"
"Ava and Jax have been struggling with Bo, i spoke to her earlier and shes exhausted!"
"But Ava's a princess and Jax has probably been at the shop more than his been home helping Ava with their newborn daughter" Jai said closing my door "I'm not like Jax, i'll be there every step of the way with you and Bean"
"I know that" i smiled and grabbed the front of his shirt pulling him closer so i could kiss him "we'll be okay right?"
I asked, i didn't want to end up fighting with Jai like Ava and Jax had been.
"Maddison we will be fine, you cant keep thinking that we're gonna fall out over our son"
"I meant as parents" i laughed "i already know that we wont be like Ava and Jax".

Jai stopped the car outside a big house in the country, it was beautiful! The view from the bedroom balcony was all fields that looked like a jigsaw puzzle.
It was so quiet and peaceful, we unpacked and got settled. Jai cooked our dinner while i took a bath, i came out wearing pj bottoms and oversized T-shirt and sat down to eat.
"Its beautiful up here, i love how peaceful it is" i said to Jai.
"Yeah me too, it is beautiful but I've seen better"
"Really, where?" I turned to look at him "i mean you" he laughed
"Oh stop it" i blushed
"I mean it Mad's..... Ive never seen beauty like yours. It captivates me, from that first night in the alley I've been under your spell"
"You realise how dodgy that sounds?" I smiled
"yes, now shhhh im trying to tell you something"
"Oh.... Go ahead" i shut my mouth and let him say what he needed to say "i know i need you always, i love you more than i ever thought possible and i want to spend the rest of my life with you" he said, i could feel my heart start to race... He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black velvet box. When he opened it i saw a stunning diamond ring..... "Maddison Grace Taylor will you marry me?" Jai asked, i stared at him in complete shock. This was the last thing i expected him to say to me. I could see the nerves on his face, then when i didn't say anything he started to look worried "Mad's im gonna need an answer" he reminded me.
"Oh..... Of course, of course i'll marry you" i cried , they were happy tears but my emotions were fucked at the moment. Jai put the ring on my finger and kissed me, it fit perfectly. Right now i felt so happy, but in the back of my mind i couldn't help but feel that was about to change. Everything was going too well.
"Hey beautiful" Jai said coming out on the balcony in a towel.
"Hi yourself" i smiled at him "i love the view from here" i said referring to our new environment and the sight of my fiancé in a towel.... Fiancé.... Oh my god i still couldn't believe that he was going to be my husband!! He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me "you were up early" he stated
"I couldn't sleep" i shrugged "i was really uncomfortable, kept needing the toilet and had major heartburn" the past couple of weeks id felt really uncomfortable when trying to sleep, the heartburn id had the entirety of my pregnancy "i cant wait for this pregnancy to be over and we have our baby boy here" i sighed.
"Not long now babe"
"I know i'm just tired" i shrugged and rested my head on his bare chest "i wish you didn't have to go to work"
"You can come with me if you like?"
"Im ok, I'm gonna stay here and try to get some sleep"
"You sure?"
"Yeah you go play action hero" i laughed and walked back into the bedroom. Jai followed me in and grabbed my pregnancy pillow from the wardrobe throwing it on the bed. He always made sure i had it when he wasn't there, but said i didn't need it when he was. As i got into bed and got comfy Jai got dressed and fixed his hair "ok babe I'm off, if you need anything I've got my phone" he said coming to kiss me goodbye.
"I'll be fine, have a good day. We love you" i smiled as he kissed me and then my swollen belly "i love you both".
I laid there listening to Jai leave and then finally drifted off to sleep.
