I once loved the beach. My parents brought a house just off of the coast and every day we used to paddle in the water. For 3 years we did this. Until the day my brother ran off in a storm. We never saw him again. We suspected that he had gone swimming and drowned because of the rough sees, got struck by lightning or taken by someone. One of these had to of happened. No one came to our beach, so him being taken would only be slim.
He knew not to go swimming without someone else and to never swim in a storm. So that was slim too. But what about being struck by lightning. There wasn't a rule about that. Than 2 days after his disappearance, me and my dad went out on the beach to see if we could find his body. For hours we searched but no luck. All we came across was; a broken buoy, a tyre, glass bottles and plastic bags. Man the beach is a disgusting place because of us. We cleaned this stuff up and dad told me we should go home. I was in tears. My only brother. Gone. Never to be seen again. As we were walking back to our place, dad got a phone call saying his work needed him. And if he came, they would pay him triple than what he was earning. Dad told me I can search for 10 more minuets and than I had to go home. He have me a kiss and left. After he was gone I walked a bit further this time. I passes large rocks and sand dunes. On the 3rd dune I crossed. I started to feel, strange. The dune went from the water to the paddock on the other side. As I walked I looked down, than I stopped. Etched into the sand were long lines in the sand. They drew pictures and shapes. But they all did the same thing. They were bunched up to make a long line the sand. From the fence to the water. About 25m long and 20cm wide. It was beautiful but strange. I looked at it and went to put my foot over the line. The wind stopped. I moved it back and the wind started again. Strange. I took a deep breath. And crossed the line. Suddenly the wind stopped and clouds packed up above me. It swirled above me until the clouds turned black. Suddenly thunder rumbled and a lighting blot let loose and arched towards me. I screamed as it struck me. A million volts travelled through my body and stopped my heart. When the bolt of lightning ended, my body slumped on the ground. Charred, burnt beyond imagination. My vision blurred and my life flew away.

Moments later I woke up on the beach. I sat up. In front of me was my dead body. "What the hell?" I asked myself. "Hello" said a voice behind me. I turned around and there was my brother. Drawing the lines in the sand.
