My dreams started off as a single thought. From there it branched off, connecting and expanding from each other. It grew like a weed in well fertilised soil, twisting, stretching, turning. Vivid images flew through my mind, keeping my mind occupied as time slowly ticked by. I saw incredible and flaming things. Things I loved, wanted and liked to see. But suddenly it started to grow dark. My dreams started to speed up, the images of people started shifting and becoming distorted. Gruesome images started playing one by one. Blood trickling, flesh being split, bones breaking, people crying in pain as they were being torn apart. Guns started firing, splattering people's brains and guts on walls and the ground. I felt myself starting to sweat, but unable to open my eyes. Fear started to flood through me as the images started to become more and more intense. Suddenly after what seemed forever, my eyes fluttered open, vivid hot spots of light dancing in my eyes and slowly fading away. I laid on my bed in my room, I was lying on my back, my head slightly on an angle facing the cupboard on the furthest wall from me. My desk and chair was to my left and a window with covered blinds on my right. Suddenly I heard a squeak to my left. I tried to my head to the noise but I was stuck. My whole body just laid their, unable to move. Somehow my eyes still worked tho, I looked at my desk at the corner of my eye and saw a shadowy, dark figure sitting on my desk chair. The figure slowly turned around until it's blood red eyes and ghostly white face faced me. The blood drained from my face, I wanted to scream to my parents for help but my body refused. The figure got off my chair and started to shuffle forwards to my bed, it's feet making a "Shwoop" noise as it moved. My eyes darted back and forth as it came closer and loomed over me, I could hear it's heavy breathing and balls of its spit drip down on me. My mind thought I was going to start hyperventilating but my chest felt like it was being crushed, I was completely paralysed. The figure lifted its arm and slowly stroked my face. My eyes widened as I felt it's sharp nails burrow into my skin, drawing blood and ripping my flesh. As the pain couldn't possibly get any worse, I heard a voice. "Venessa." Suddenly the scene changed and my mum was standing above me, worry and tears in her eyes. "Sweetie, you weren't breathing." My body suddenly unrestrained itself and I burst out crying. My tears seeping into the deep cuts on my face......
