The detective ran. He bolted through an alleyway, chasing the suspect. The detectives name was Brian Stevenson and this suspect was the one accused for killing his parents when he was 10. Brian was left to rot in the world without his parents. Since that treacherous day when his parents were murdered, he swore an oath to take down that murderer. Now here he was, chasing the very man who killed his parents. The evidence his team found and summarized pointed towards this man. His name was Zep Hinde. A 38 year old man who committed a double murderer, multiple raids and a few hit and runs on the street. He was now a high priority to take off the streets.
Zep bolted down an alleyway of dusty and dirty walls. The ground was covered in spilt garbage, strange liquids and rotted food. Zep rocketed right and Brian chased after him. Zep jumped a few rubbish bins, ducked under a chest height gas pipe and turned left at the wall junction. Brian followed, probably faster than Zep expected. Zep spun around as he ran and went wide-eyed at how close Brian really was. Zep looked back to where he was running and he slammed into a metal pipe. He spun in a quick circle and smacked into the ground. Brian advanced on him, taking this opening as the only chance he would get.
Brian bolted towards downed Zep, Brian outstretched his arms and tackled Zep. Brian grabbed Zep's hands held them tightly and pushed them into his back. Zep cried out in pain as his arms were pushed against him, his shoulders straining against the pain. "Stop, Please!" Zep cried, finally giving up the chase, his freedom and his life. "You are under arrest for the multiple robberies of banks and jewelers, the hit and runs in New York and the double murders of my parents." Brian balled his fist and punched Zep's jaw. "That's for my parents you monster." Brian punched him again, this time a lot harder. "And that's for the life you left me." Brian grabbed out his handcuffed and cuffed Zep's hands together. "Get to your feet, time to see what the judge thinks of you, huh."
Brian tugged Zep to his police car and pushed him into the back. Brian locked the back door with Zep in it and Brian hopped in the driver's seat. Brian picked up the radio walkie-talkie and held down the button. He stopped for a moment and let the button go. He placed the walkie talkie back into the holder. He sat there for a moment, replaying his entire life in his mind. The moment his parents died, the endless court cases, the dozens of suspects and clues, all leading to this one guy. The guy in the back of his police car. The guy who murdered his parents. Did this man really deserve to live in a jail cell for the rest of his life? Or to be put to the death sentence by other cops? No. This was his revenge and his alone. He had to do what was right, to do what was meant to be done. Brian climbed out of the car, unlocked the back door and flung the door open. "Get out" Brian glared at Zep, who looked confused as he shuffled out of the backseat and onto the alleyway ground. "Put your hands on your head, kneel down and face the ground." Brian said, reaching slowly for his handgun. Zep saw what was going on and he obeyed, kneeling down and placing his cuffed hands on the back of his head. Brian pulled out his Glock handgun and loaded it, pointing it at Zep. "Zep Hindle" Brian said, moving his finger towards the trigger. "You have killed my family, endangered many others and have become a disgrace to this country." Zep remained motionless. "Revenge is a bitch" Brian muttered before pulling the trigger.
