Polybius is an urban legend about an arcade-style video game released in small quantities in the 1970s. At first glance, this cabinet style game would appear to be a Galaga-style game, in which a player tried to shoot triangles and other geometric shapes. After playing the game, or sometimes even during playtime, the player would suffer an epileptic seizure, and die before help could arrive. In some versions, it was said to belong to the CIA, as an experiment In mind control. The game was only issued in one place in Iowa, and was taken out of circulation shortly after it was released. Rumors that an actual copy exists persist on the internet, while media has furthered the urban legend, as it was featured In an episode of the Simpsons, in which Bart goes to an arcade, and Polybius appears in the arcade, with a stamp saying it belongs to the federal government. To this day there haven't been any verifiable discoveries of the actual cabinet game.......
