Walang Forever

Chapter 4

"Thougths could go on forever." said the girl with a curly hair.

"Paano kung namatay yung nag-iisip?" I countered what she said.

"Imagination has no bounderies." Said the other girl.

"It has no limits but it's soon forgotten." I said getting bored and tired of all this FOREVER thingy. People are really taking this seriously.

It has been a month since the University got startled by my challenge and it's still a big deal. A lot of them tried to convince me, babae man o lalaki, freshmen or seniors, teachers and students; they all came to me and prove nothing.

Masaya naman ako somehow kasi nakalikom din ako ng fund for the Student Government, not bad at all considering that this is just a silly game taken seriously by these people.

"Don't take this seriously my fellow students." I mentioned as Bab pointed the microphone at me.

I'm in Bab's station again. I know I sworn that I won't step foot here. But shit happens you know. Its my f*cking responsibility sabi nga ni Gene dahil wala ng iba para pagpasahan ng kalokohang 'to.

"I'm telling you this because I care. We are not living in a world of fiction. This is reality—when we say reality it means believing that everything will rot and vanish." I looked directly at Bab's eyes and said "You can't prove something that doesn't exist."

I knew it was a huge ring to the University but I was just stating my opinions. I don't mean to cause ruckus.

After my interview on air, dumeretso na 'ko kaagad sa office ng Student Government for Gene's special announcement. Minsan lang mag pa-meeting 'yun kaya siguradong importante ang agenda namin.

"Ranielle. Nice timing." Gene said as I entered the room. Nakapabilog ang lahat ng officers on their mono block chair. I swear they were murmuring before I entered the room.

There's an empty seat just beside Gene so I sat there.

"Bakit?" Tinaasan ko ng kilay si Gene as I caught him staring at me.

"Oo nga pala, about the vice-president. Tiffany submitted Justin's incident report to me." He said as he gave a slight nod at Tiffany. "Totoo nga yung tanan thing with her girlfriend. Note: Kasama pa yung aso nila." Gene explained. Why does he have to mention that again. Lalo lang akong nangigigil sa gung-gong na 'yon.

"So anong gagawin natin batuhin sya ng granada?" I said bitterly. I heard everyone chuckled quietly.

Gene smirked habang ginugulo nya yung buhok ko. I pushed his hand away. Hindi ako mahilig magsuklay ng buhok but that doen't mean na may karapatan syang guluhin lalo ang buhok ko.

"Papalitan na natin sya." He declared.

I gave him a go-ahead look and became serious. This is business.

"And our newly assigned vice president is... Mr. Drake Sawyer." Gene said proudly at nauna na syang pumalakpak sinundan naman ng mga co-officers ko.

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. That's when I noticed Drake sitting on a monoblock chair just in front of mine.

I looked at Drake confused then back at Gene again.

"You're not serious here Gene." I tried to convince Gene forcing a small smile.

"I am serious Ranielle." Gene said bluntly. He does looks serious but I would never get use to this serious side of him. Pakiramdam ko sumosobra na 'ko pag ganyan sya kaseryoso. So I tried to settle this rationally.

"But he is not skilled enough, he has no experience yet and he didn't undergo the traditional way of electing someone with such big responsibility." I reasoned out.
