Chapter 19

 
"Baby sis, saan ka pupunta?" Tanong ni Kuya Jayron while I'm fixing the laces of my shoes.

"Mag jo-jogging with Prada." I said standing up and grabbing Nada's tie.

"Ah, sige. Baka mapagod si Prada ah?" He said munching his breakfast.

"Grabe ka, nag alala ka sa aso tapos sa'kin hinde?" I glared at him before plugging the earphones in my ears.

He chuckled "Ingat ka din syempre. Nag-iisa ka lang sa buhay namin eh."

"Corny mo Kuya. Aga aga eh." I said heading towards the door.

"Alis na ko"

I went out the gate with Prada. Dito lang naman ako sa subdivision mag jo-jogging. Malamig pero naka-jersey shorts and hoodie lang ako along with my running shoes.

It was a silent morning. Wala ni anino ni Drake. Aba, himala? I wonder what happened since last night? Hindi kasi ako papasok ngayon, Sports fest ng school namin this week. I'm not good at sports so I think I'll pass. Anyway, pakana din naman ni Drake yung event na yun pati nandun naman si Tifanny at iba pang officers ng organization na mag fa-facilitate ng program. They can handle that without me.

I was catching my breath, we've been jogging for almost 30 minutes. Masakit na dibdib ko pero itong si Prada mukang nag-eenjoy. But I need to rest so I decided to sit on a bench in the park of the subdivision.

"Napagod ka ba baby?" I look at Prada and pats her head. She sniffed my hand whike wiggling her tail.

"Buti ka pa loyal." I blurted out. She barked as her tail continued to wagged.

Biglang tumaas yung tenga ni Prada, para bang may naka-caught ng attention nya. She looked straight to someone behind me with excitement.

Prada barked as she tried to get farther from me.

I turned my head and saw Gene in his jogging outfit too. He was just there, standing with both his hand inside the pocket of his jacket. He looked so good even with those damped clothes. Damn. Shut it Ranielle.

I can feel my heart beating faster. He still have that same effect on me. But I need to show him that he doesn't affect me at all. After all he said that HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME ANYMORE.

My heart hurts so tumingin agad ako kay Prada. I tightly gripped her colar and stood up.

"Tara na." I pulled her but she continued to wag his tail.

"Ranielle." Gene called out but I acted as if I did not heard him. I keep on pulling Prada.

And now you'll be the one begging for me to stay.

He walked beside me. "Ranielle. I-"

"Bae!" Drake said running towards me.

"Kanina pa kita hinahanap." He said catching his own breath. "Uy anong ginagawa mo? Bakit mo kinakaladkad si Prada?"

Drake! Nice timing ka! I need distraction.

"Pauwi na ko." I said picking up Prada from the ground.

"Nandito pala si sir. Hi sir!" He said cheerfully.

Gene put on a forced smile at Drake. I know that his smile isn't genuine. I knew him that well.. I guess?

"Bae, tara na? Kasama ba natin si Sir?" He asked holding my left hand. Hawak ko si Prada sa isa ko pang kamay.

Aba?! Loko ka. Nasa harap natin si Gene, nananadya ka ba?

"Uuwi na ko." I said as I pulled my hands from him but he got a tight grip. He just smiled at me.
