“Wh..wha..what happened?”
Jasie had just noticed that she was feeling incredibly weak and she was wincing in pain.
It was coming from the side of her right cheek which meant that she used the glass shard to cut herself. However, she had just came from Raphael’s mind.
How can her body move on its own?
“As I came out to call your parents, a loud thud was coming from your room. It seemed that you have fell down from your bed along with your lamp. You were screaming that you hated yourself. I entered right back and had seen you about to throw your stuff all around. I was trying to stop you but you were too strong. You eventually had hit the window and had grabbed broken glass from the floor threatening to hurt yourself. Your family immediately came as they heard the crashing sound. You said that if anyone would go near you, you’ll slash your face. Your father dared to and now look, the deed has been done. Thank God that it’s not that deep. Do you remember doing all that?”
Jasie was shivering excessively and it made her drop the weapon that she was holding.
Her face was now tainted and it would leave a scar. She did not want to think about it. She hysterically cried and ran towards her mother for comfort.
“I...I don’t remember Yoona…I’m really sorry…”
Alexon made her look at him straight in the eye while glaring at her.
“How come you don’t remember? You were clearly conscious! How dare you act this disrespectful!? You’re grounded for the rest of the summer!”
He then dashed out of the room.
Ares was staring into space to have witnessed something like that. He was standing like a statue.
Marie started to cry along with her and started to search for the first aid kit. Yoona helped her out and Marie began treating Jasie’s wound and placed a bandage over it.
The wound did not seem dangerous but it would surely leave a visible scar. Marie was heartbroken for her pitiful daughter.
Jasie was now becoming scared of herself.
What were other things she still did not know about her?
There was a lurking other just within her and it seemed to want to kill her. She felt hopeless and she was glad that she was grounded.
◇◇◇
Days have passed and summer was becoming shorter and shorter.
The broken glass window in her room had already been replaced.
Jasie just frequently laid on her bed either sleeping or simply thinking about that disturbing incident. Her wound seemed too long to heal and it was still fresh on her mind.
Yoona always visited her to see if she was doing okay. Her father was still unforgiving but her mother and brother were more caring to bring her food all the time but she had already lost her appetite for so long.
She insisted herself to eat even though she did not feel like it. She did not want to worry the people she loved any further.
All that she could do was to stay put and behave until school has already started.
She even wondered about Raphael once in a while. If ever he noticed that she had been locked up in her room and really did not go out anymore.
Jasie grieved for the situation that she was in.
Her power was great but it came with consequences. She now understood that.
It seemed that she had a split personality who took over her body while she was gone. That was her conclusion since it was the only way that it made sense.
