Chapter 10 (Double-edged Ploy)

Jasie and Yoona followed Bella while passing through the open corridor that they had once adored as kids.

Small gardens were found at both sides but it was starting to become a path of thorns for them, dreading what laid at the end of where they were bound to meet the others.

While they were walking, Bella spoke while she was ahead of them.

"Jasie, umm...why are you hiding your face with a mask? You're not even sick or acting like it."

Yoona immediately answered for her.

"She had come down with a fever earlier today and she took precautions if ever her symptoms would get worse."

Bella was amused by how Yoona was like Jasie's sidekick, always the one filling up the void of the silence that she maintained.

It seemed like Jasie was indirectly mocking Bella.

"Oh...how really considerate of her. However, I think she's beginning to feel better though. Judging by the way she saved me from being crushed by her body earlier."

Yoona thought that she was starting to get in her nerves.

"As a matter of fact, saving you meant that she did not want to stain herself by falling on a narcissistic mess that you are."

Bella wanted to slap her but she kept her dignity. She did not want to make a fool out of herself while they were still viewable in public.

"Okay then...no one got hurt so how about we leave that incident aside now okay?"

The back of Bella's head was so huge that Yoona wanted to shave it and use her bald head as a volleyball.

Jasie was unusually calm after Bella had insulted her. Yoona wanted her old self back so that they would become unbeatable once again.

She whispered something to her.

"Maybe we could use your power you know? Make her change for the better."

Jasie just looked into her eyes with such agony and Yoona knew that she was afraid to use it. There would be nothing good to come out of a terrifying scandalous incident by degrading herself in front of many people.

Bella's friends started to show themselves one by one since they hid behind the trees. There was a total of 5 of them.

Two of them were skinny girls and the rest were scrawny boys. Using their money to buy branded goods did them no good.

Did they even eat properly? So much for showing off.

It was such a pity that they were wasting their good looks.

"So, when should we eat?"

She directed the question towards Bella.

"Your friends seem that they need to." Her friends laughed.

"Are you just jealous seeing how fit we are? You seem to be carrying some excess weight and that Jasie looks like a toothpick." One of the girls spoke.

Yoona became furious and was just about to become violent but Jasie stopped her. It was no use trying to fight bullies when the more agitated one became, the more they would torment their prey.

"Hey you! Mute girl! Why aren't you saying anything? Couldn't speak or couldn't talk back?"

Bella was confused by the verbal attack.

"Uh...they all mean the same though. That was so not great. It would be much better if you'll just keep quiet."

The boy started to reason that they meant differently but Bella started to corner Jasie trying to take off her mask.
