Chapter 14 (Unfamiliarity)

“Everyone, this is my boyfriend Clyde.” Laura announced to them.

Only Jasie, Yoona, and Raphael were outside. Laura asked her mother to go first since she still wanted to hang out.

“You see him now right? I told you that he really looks like you. You wouldn’t believe me.”

Clyde eyed Raphael from top to bottom as if he saw him for the first time.

“Yeah. He really does. He’s handsome like me. If you will have to choose either one of us, who will you pick?” Laura giggled.

“You of course! Obviously.” 

Jasie and Yoona were starting to hate their public show of affection. Raphael just could not believe that Clyde was actually a real person.

Why did he have to scare him like that from before?

He wore all white clothes but now he was wearing entirely all black. Raphael assumed that it was his fashion sense to use a certain colour as his theme for the day. It should actually depend on his mood.

Black was attributed to fear but it can also represent evil and mystery. Raphael thought that black really suited him more than white.

“I’m sorry about what I did to you last time. I was gravely wrong for scaring you back there.”

Clyde clasped his hands together as if he meant it and went towards Raphael to shake his hand.

“Umm…It’s okay. I guess you were just curious about me. It was my fault that I overreacted.” Raphael shook his hand.

“What! You two already met? Why didn’t you tell me?” Laura scolded Clyde.

“If I had told you, you might become more interested in him. Since you saw him now, I’m relieved that you informed me about it.”

They started to get all lovey-dovey in front of the others. Yoona just could not seem to keep her opinion to herself.

“Hello! We’re still here.” She referred to herself and Jasie.

“Do you not see us?”

Jasie felt embarrassed that Yoona was such a frank person. Raphael was jealous of them though since they liked each other. The only thing different about him and Clyde was that he was still single. He felt depressed at the thought. 

“Oh…we just couldn’t help ourselves. We’re so sorry. Clyde, I want you to meet Jasie who’s my cousin and Yoona. They’re Raphael’s closest friends.”

Clyde shook their hands but when it came to Jasie, it lasted longer than it should have.

“Nice to meet you, Jasie.”

He winked at her. Both Raphael and Yoona were starting to feel protective of her. Jasie pulled her hand away and smiled awkwardly at him.

What was his deal?

He had the exact mesmerizing eyes and facial features of Raphael and Jasie felt conscious to see this wild version of him.

Yoona said to Raphael in a whisper.

“I’m guessing that he pretended to be a ghost from that time when I thought you were defecating. You liar. You could have just told us. I tell you that he’s such a freak.” Raphael defended himself.

“What was I supposed to do when Jasie was so worried about me? I completely forgot.”

Yoona folded her arms and stuck out her tongue in annoyance.
