Jasie could not fathom why her friends’ accounts were hacked last time.
Their sent messages suddenly got deleted and when Jasie asked about them, they denied that they did it. It made them shiver in fear thinking about it.
They said that as soon as they were back home, they got too tired and slept right away. They did not even bother to eat dinner.
Jasie already had an idea who it was that messed with her.
How did he do it though?
And what was his reason for doing it?
He even just formally met them. She made both Yoona and Raphael change their passwords immediately.
The internet was a network of convenience. It housed several sites for both educational and entertainment purposes.
Several social media platforms have been trending and people use them to share life moments or formed opinions about the society. However, privacy protection had always been an issue.
It did not arise because of the accessibility of others’ personal information but with these “trolls” who disrupt the online peace. It was really tempting to antagonize someone anonymously as well as steal data to make of others’ amusement.
Even pretending to be someone else to turn others against that person was insensible.
Cybercrimes were widespread and it would only take a single dysfunctional person to destroy the lives of many people. It was a domino effect of instilling relentless fear and betrayal.
If only some people really minded their own business if they had nothing better to do. They may have lost focus on their own selves. Their unwanted snooping and obstruction would make egoistic individuals more praiseworthy.
Yoona told her that accepting the invite was a way to observe Clyde up close. Raphael also dared to see for himself whether he had a hidden motive.
Today was the day that they were going to that party. Jasie had awoken feeling groggy and she was not planning of doing anything at the moment. She just wanted to think.
She promised herself to trust her instincts when it came to using her power for the right reasons. She was going to inform her family about it later.
Ares came in abruptly inside her room to see if she was awake. She had slept for too long and it was already lunch time.
“Are you hungry yet?” He simply asked her.
“I’m coming.”
She jumped out of bed and checked herself in the mirror. The scar was still light brown and she was not ashamed of it anymore. Her face was starting to break out of acne though but it was normal, they should go away soon with proper care and treatment.
It happened once in a while as she was stressed about what she had to do. Popping or picking on them would worsen the symptoms. Been there, done that and never again she would go back doing that.
She went down through their flight of stairs with some rope that she had and ate her brunch.
“Mama, do we have plans later tonight?”
Marie had been reading the newspaper as she waited for Alexon to come home. She seemed down because of what happened yesterday.
Alexon exaggeratedly had gotten furious when Ares did not inform him that he was going to go out to buy something from the mall.
His hair gel had ran out and Marie also asked him to buy them some groceries while he was at it.
He was already 18 years old so he was now allowed to drive the other car that they had. But when his father was the first to come home, all hell broke loose and now the seemingly simple errand became something rebellious to him.
