This is quite a long one, I was going to split it into individual oneshots for each person but that would have taken me a while to write and I didn't want you guys to have to wait for too long. Also I lose motivation quickly so it was better for me to just write this now.

This is inspired by a video I saw where someone compared the avengers to the lyrics in the song Silence by Marshmello and Khalid. I wanted to write about how each character fits into the lines but in a story way, instead of just straight up explaining it.

'Yeah, I'd rather be a lover than a fighter' (Wanda Maximoff)

She had a rough life, there was no hiding that. Somehow she always ended up fighting for the wrong side. She'd lost her brother and had never felt more alone.

She'd pushed visions onto each avenger, because she felt she had no choice.

She never regretted something more.

Vision, although once an AI finally showed her what love was like.

Her heart fluttered every time he flew through her walls.

He was strange, but then again so was she.

"Keep her away from me" Tony had shouted when she stepped into the tower. She didn't blame him, she'd pushed the worst vision onto him because he had been so close.

"Tony she's a kid"

"She's a fighter Steve, and I don't mean that in a positive way. She can kill us all simply by lifting her hand" he argued, his hands shook as he stared at Steve. She felt terrible, she had done this. While inside his head she had taken a look around. That man who was disguised with a perfect smile was hiding so much pain. He was riddled with anxiety and barely managed to keep it in check until he was alone.

She had been the one to push him over the edge.

She stared at her feet at the two bickered.

"I bet that's all you know, all you want. To fight" Tony snapped.

She looked up, "yeah," she paused and thought before saying, "I'd rather be a lover than a fighter"

The look on Tony's face had fallen, and for the first time he saw something in her he saw in himself.

They'd both grown up in rough places, maybe not physically but emotionally. They just wanted love, it was such a human need but it was strong.

"I-" he closed his eyes and sighed, "I'm sorry" Steve looked shocked to see Tony apologize to someone he was so reluctant to speak to.

"I am too, I'm so sorry Tony" she said holding her breath as tears rolled down her face.

His face mirrored hers. And he hurried away.

She stood there and decided in that moment, she wouldn't fight unless it were for love. That made more sense than fighting a war with no good outcome.

'Cause all my life, I've been fighting' (Natasha Romanoff)

The red room had changed her. Her mind at constant battle with itself.

Alone in her room she stared at the ceiling. Fighting back the urge to scream. The pain was such a vivid memory.

She shot up and threw herself out of her room. Practically sprinting as she tripped over her own feet. Racing towards the elevator.

She took it to the bottom floor, and left the compound. In nothing but pajamas and socks, she sprinted around the compound. The rain from a few hours ago soaked her feet, but she kept running. Fighting through the chill, fighting through the memories.
