Nicole's POV
"Ok what about this for Michael?" I asked holding up a YSL button up shirt.
"Yeah I think he'll like that." Florian threw a brief look at the shirt then turned back to the rack trying to find gifts for his friends and family back home.
I nodded in satisfaction and turned to the worker who had been following me around the store very obviously since we walked in.
"Hey since you're racially profiling me can you go ahead and have them hold this for me up front? I have a few more items to grab then you can go back to your job of being a low key racist instead of a blatantly obvious one." I spoke in my fakest customer service voice (we all know the voice).
Her eyes widened and she pushed her lips out and took the shirt from me muttering a "sure" before walking to the front register.
"Ohh burn." Flo joked from the rack causing me to laugh and shake my head.
"I hate people like that." I grumbled. "They always assume because I'm black that I don't have the means to afford anything in here or I'm just trying to steal which is bullshit." I ruffled through the racks and shelves finding another shirt and belt for Michael and a wallet for Kay to add to her other gift.
I turned to see Flo with a few shirts and hoodies in his hand.
"I'm gonna look at the shoes let me know when you're done babe." I called as I made my way over to the shoe section.
I eyed a couple pairs. But ultimately decided against buying them. I was here to shop for other people not myself.
"Hey you ready?" Florian asked behind me as I put the shoe back on the display.
"Yeah lets go." I said and we walked to register paying for our respective items.
"Okay so I've got your parents, my parents, Michael and Kay's shopping done. I've just got to finish yours and grab something for Tessa and Molly then I'll be completely done." I spoke.
"Can I get a hint at what you got me?" He pleaded.
"No Flo! You've got 2 weeks left and then it'll be Christmas and you can find out what's under the tree." I replied rationally.
We walked through the mall and stopped at a few more stores getting items to finish off our lists.
"Okay I think that's about it. I'm wiped out. I don't know how you do this all the time." Florian said.
I rolled my eyes. "I don't do this ALL the time just sometimes. A little shopping never hurt anyone."
"Sure every time I see you, you've got new clothes. Plus you still have clothes in your closet with tags on them." He said as he placed the bags in the trunk.
"And what were you doing in my closet?" I asked.
He looked around, "I may have been looking for my presents..." he admitted.
"Florian!" I scolded.
"What?! You know I don't like waiting or surprises! You sure we can't so Christmas early?" He proposed, taking my hand and kissing my knuckles and trailing them up my arm to my neck.
I let out a soft moan. "Please baby." He whispered in my ear seductively. He started to nibble softly on my ear.
"Just one peak at least." He said running his hand over my thigh.
I was getting sucked in but had to force myself out of the seductive trance he had set me into.
"No flo." I moaned as he continued to kiss on my neck and jaw teasingly.
"Cmon baby please." He whispered against my skin as he pulled my shirt off my shoulder, laying kisses on my collar bone.
I was extremely turned on and honestly very likely to give him whatever he wanted in that moment if he guaranteed he would fuck my brains out after.
But I caught myself before he could get what he wanted.
"No Flo, you've gotta wait like everyone else." I spoke softly barely able to form a sentence.
He looked at me and saw I wasn't budging then flopped back in his seat.
"Dammit I almost had you." He said.
I chuckled shaking my head. "You're evil you know that." I said trying to cool myself off and shake off the side effects of his kisses.
I could feel the heat between my legs dissipate although it returned every time a flicker of the moment would make its way to the forefront of my mind.
"So what are we going for dinner tonight?" I asked as he began driving.
"Hmm I don't know. I could cook if you want." He offered. I looked at him shocked. Florian had only ever cooked me breakfast or threw a pizza in the oven. Never a full meal.
"You're telling me you're gonna cook?" I asked incredulously.
"Yes, don't act so surprised, I can cook ya know!" He laughed.
"Oh this I gotta see." I teased and he drove in the direction of the grocery store.
"So what are you gonna cook?" I asked as he parked the car.
"I'm not sure... let me call my mom for her recipe on this Romanian dish she used to make me when I was younger. It was one of my favorites." He said pulling out his phone.
He FaceTimed his mom and asked her for her recipe for Mici. She listed off the ingredients that I typed into my phone and then we headed into the store.
We shopped around fairly quickly. I grabbed the different spices he would need while he grabbed the meats and sides he would need.
I was pushing the cart around to another aisle reading the list and mentally preparing to grab a few other things Florian needed to restock in his house when I nearly bumped into someone.
I began to apologize. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see-" but stopped when I realized who it was.
