Addison's POV
Today my father passed away. I was really really upset about. My dad and I did everything together. He was my best friend. But this morning he had a stroke and everything went downhill from there.I'm at this party. No one knows about my Dad. Everyone knows I don't really drink. The only thing I was surprised about, was that Bryce wasn't here. He loves parties. Not that I'm talking to him right now cause I'm not.
I'm still mad about him being irresponsible on his birthday not to mention motorboating a stripper. And to think I was gonna give that man birthday sex that night and it was gonna be special cause it would've been our first time. He was supposed to come to my house after a day with the boys. Not 300 people and some strippers. I understand that it wasn't his idea but he didn't have to touch them...
Can't say much now. I'm at a party myself. So I sat there at the bar counter. Shot after shot after shot. After a couple hours of being there I fell to the ground.
"ADDISON!" I heard someone yell for me. but I couldn't move. My eyes opened. Anthony. "Everybody back up! Give her some room!" He said gesturing for everyone to move away from me.
"Addi we need to take you home." Avani said also squatting next to me. "No! I can't go home. Lucas and Enzo. They can't see me like this. My mom will be so disappointed in me." I explained to them.
"Well Addi, you can't stay here, so I'll just bring you to Sway with me." Anthony said picking me up and bringing me outside, while Avani got my bag and phone and stuff.
Bryce's POV
I was laying down watching Addison's favorite show. We used to watch it everyday and it felt weird to put something else on.I got a facetime call from Avani. "Hey Vani, what's up?" I asked pausing the show. "Listen to me very closely. Have you been tested for COVID yet?" She asked. "Yeah why?" I answered. "And you're negative right?" She asked again. "Yes Avani." I answered. "Okay well we just peeled Addison off the floor of the bar at a party. I need you to bring her to your room to let her sleep it off." She explained to me. "Is she okay?" I asked getting conversation. "She's gonna be fine but we couldn't take her home in this condition." I nodded. "She's asleep so I don't wanna wake her up. We're gonna be there in like two minutes. Meet us outside." I nodded and hung up.
I made up the bed real quick and walked downstairs to the front porch. I saw Anthony's car pull up. I couldn't have been more surprised. Addison isn't a big drinker. She never has been. Avani got out of the car and opened the back door on the opposite side cause Addison was leaning on the door and she didn't want her to fall out of the car.
Once Vani had her up I opened the door and carried her out of the car. "What happened?" I asked them. "We didn't even know she was at the party. We just saw her passed out on the floor. I woke her and told her I was bringing her home and she said not to take her there so here we are." Anthony explained.
Addison nuzzled herself into my chest and wrapped her arms around my neck in her sleep. The familiarity felt amazing. "Thank you for bringing her here." I told them. "No problem, Man." Anthony said before going inside with Avani.
I took Addison up to my room and let her lay on my chest. "You know, I love you right?" She whispered in her sleep. I assumed she was talking to someone in her dream but it did kind of make me sad to think I would never hear that from her again. Well not directed towards me.
"Well I do, I love you with all my heart, Bryce." She said again. My eyes widened. I looked and saw she was still in a deep sleep. "Whether you know it or not, I love you and nothing will ever change that." Yup still sleeping.
I kissed her head a couple times. I couldn't help it. I fell asleep knowing that my dream girl dreams about me.
A few hours later I woke up and saw Addison wasn't there anymore and saw the bathroom light from underneath the door. I got up and went to hold back her hair while she threw up everything she drank tonight.
Once she was finished she sat back against the tub and ran her fingers through her hair. She had started crying and leaned her head back.
"How did I get here?" She asked with tears streaming down her face. "Anthony brought you." I answered right away.
"What's up with you? You rarely ever drink." I asked her. "Nothing. I'm fine. I just wanna go home okay?" She said clearly upset and trying to get up. I held out my hand to help her but she declined and got up herself before walking out of the bathroom.
"Addison, please. Just tell me." I asked. "Bryce, really. It's nothing. I'm leaving." She made her way to the door.
I pushed the door closed and blocked her exit. "I know you think that this is nothing, but if you of all people blacked out at a party. I know that means either something happened and you felt you had no one to go to for help or you got drugged so, I'm gonna need you to tell me what happened so I can go beat up whoever it was that did this to you because clearly it's not the first one cause you know that no matter what you can always come to me. So?" She looked at me shocked.
"It's my dad..." She answered looking down. "Your dad spiked your drink?!" I yelled. "No, my dad...he um. He had a stroke this morning. There wasn't much that the doctors could do and he passed away this morning. I had already told Avani that I would come with them so I didn't want to bail. I drank my feelings away. I didn't feel like you would want to deal with me. You are the only person that I would ever talk to about my family problems cause you are the only person who understands but we just broke up and I didnt think you would want to see me and on top of that I'm mad at you. You were supposed to come to my house the night of your birthday but you were here with 300 people some of them being strippers therefore I didn't want to deal with you either. So I went to the party." She rambled.
"Addison. I will always be here for you. Whether we're together or not. No matter how mad we are at each other if you ever need someone to talk to I will always be here no matter what." I pulled her into a tight hug. Or at least I tried. She pushed me away.
"Just because I am not myself right now, and my vulnerability is bringing me to you does not mean that we are getting back together. I'm still mad at you. That was supposed to be our night and you never came home." She said to me sternly before coming back into our hug.
"I'm just glad to have you even if it's only for a night." I held her head under her hair in our hug. "Oh and Addi?" She looked up at me. "I love you too." I told her.
She just nuzzled back into me. "C'mon, Babygirl. Let's go back to bed." I tugged on her hand a little bit. "I mean it Bryce. Don't call me Babygirl, or Baby, or anything of the sort cause we are not getting back together. At least not right now." She said sternly once again.
"Sorry, Baby, force of habit." I laughed before pulling her back to bed. She smiled and cuddled close to me and we both fell asleep.
