Third chapter I've written today and I'm having fun with where this is going, but I promise this is a happy ending book unlike some of my others..
Also just occurred to me that I still had On Hold in the title so I just changed that.
Anyways enjoy.
3rd POV
Aizawa and Yamada finally got home, and once again it being almost 1 in the morning.
They were surprised to see an overworked Denki asleep at the kitchen table.
Aizawa smiled a sorry smile and went over to Denki, gently shaking him. Aizawa couldn't carry him all the way upstairs, he was likely just as tired as Denki.
When he didn't wake up, Yamada gently sent Aizawa towards their bedroom so he could handle this.
Yamada shook Denki a little harder and started talking. "Honey, why are you asleep at the table?" Yamada asked gently as Denki stirred.
"I was folding laundry.." he mumbled. "Must've fallen asleep."
Yamada sighed. "Why are you so tired hun?"
"Shoto..." Denki mumbled. "He hasn't been too good all day. Had a really high fever and he hasn't gotten out of bed all day so I ended up taking care of him."
"You're such a good brother Denki." Yamada praised as he helped Denki stand and lead him to the stairs. "Now it's time for you to get some much needed sleep. You can take care of him tomorrow, he'll be ok."
Denki nodded and continued up the stairs slowly nodding off even though he was standing.
After Yamada tucked him in, he stood and walked to the doorframe, flicking off the lights.
"Goodnight Denki."
Yamada was pretty sure Denki was asleep anyways so it didn't really matter. Next the blonde hero checked on Shoto, slightly happy to see he was still asleep.
The blonde finally plopped down on his and his husband's bed, sighing.
"Something wrong babe?" Aizawa mumbled as he turned to cuddle with Yamada.
"Shoto is sick.." Yamada whispered back, gently running a hand through Aizawa's hair. "Which means not only have we missed two days where something bad has happened with Denki and Shoto, but we also have to make sure Shoto doesn't go to the entrance exams."
"Why do you sound so sad?" Aizawa asked in a soft tone, subconsciously leaning into his husband's touch.
Yamada made a face at the question, even though it was dark in the room. "It's all Shoto has talked about for a year. Whether it's because UA is drilled into his head because of Endeavor or because he truly wants to go, he's not going to be thrilled."
And the thought of Shoto unhappy made Yamada unhappy instantly.
When Aizawa didn't answer, Yamada knew he had fallen asleep. Sighing he got himself comfortable and willed away the negative thoughts, letting his unknown exhaustion take over.
—————
Izuku immediately jolted, ignoring his own tears now. "What do you mean?!"
"Izuku you have to stay quiet.." Shinsou whispered.
"Screw that! You can't just leave!" Izuku shouted. "I'm here! You have to stay here with me Shinsou! Running away gets you no where!"
Izuku knew that was such a hypocritical thing to say when he has been running from reality all his life, but he needed Shinsou to know that running only leads you back to the start.
"I was thinking about going to America with my sister. She's living with a great foster home in Washington and I'm sure they wouldn't mind me staying if I had a source of money income.." Shinsou continued.
"Are you even listening to me?!" Izuku choked out, tears clouding his vision.
Shinsou ignored the boy. "I would have a fresh start. I could give Eri the life she always deserved.."
"Hitoshi!" Izuku shouted.
"It's so tiring Izuku!.." Shinsou cried out. "It's only been days and with this weight weighing on my shoulders that I could have killed you, it makes me sick to my stomach! There isn't a thing that doesn't remind me of you around the city and it physically hurts!" Shinsou angrily wiped his tears with his sleeve. "Do you- do you even know what it's like to watch the one you love die?! And have the voice in your head tell you that's it's your fault?! Because it is and I know that! God! It's all my fault and I know! I just need out of this damn city!"
Izuku would've loved to retort back and say that he did in fact know the feeling, but he couldn't. When his parents died, he felt numb. He wasn't sad, nor was he angry, it was just the usual lack of emotion at that time. He didn't have a voice in his head telling him it was his fault, and he knew it wasn't so that never really weighed on him.
"Hitoshi.." Izuku tried, softly begging Shinsou to stay with his pleading tone.
"Even if I wanted to stay here I can't Izuku.. Aizawa knows it was me and despite me giving you my money and trying to save someone dear to me I don't think he will ever forgive me." Shinsou said, leaning himself against the wall.
"He doesn't have a right to be mad!" Izuku instantly retorted.
"Oh Izuku.." Shinsou mumbled under his breath.
"What the hell does that even mean?! This is a place he has no right to butt into!" Izuku continued to shout.
The nurses still hadn't picked it up but Shinsou had to get out of there before they did.
Izuku continued to shout but somewhere along the lines of him still yelling about Aizawa, Shinsou spaced out.
The minute Izuku looked into Shinsou's eyes, he stopped yelling. The utter regret and sadness etched into them was something beyond that of which Izuku had ever seen. The boy who was only half a year older, looked like he had gone through more than a pro hero themselves. Which was true, but so had Izuku and he didn't look a day older than 12.
"Shinsou." Izuku said, completely contrasting his yelling from earlier as he watched Shinsou shake out of his thoughts. "Come sit next to me."
He patted a spot next to him and watched as Shinsou hesitantly peeled away from the wall and sat in the dedicated spot.
"I will never, ever hold you back from what you think is right and if you think you need to go.. s-so be it." Izuku took a breath. "But I need you to know, from someone who has been running from something their entire life, that's not how you fix it. You have to find someone that will help you, and treat you right." Izuku gently lifted a hand and cupped Shinsou face. "And if you need someone, I would gladly volunteer, seeing as you did that for me." He whispered.
Slowly he leaned in, closing the space between him and Shinsou, and passionately kissed the purplette.
Shinsou immediately pulled back, squeezing his eyes shut and whimpering as the tears started to fall all over again.
"Oh baby.." Izuku took Shinsou trembling body into a hug, calmly Shinsou significantly. "It'll be ok.. I promise.."
Aye yai yai, lots of fluffy shit going on lately, but I really do like it.
Now here's the question, of course Shoto and Kami finna have a manz too, so is it going to be Kami x Sero and Shoto x Kiri? Or Kami x Kiri and Shoto with no one? Or is there another ship y'all wanna try out? Lemme know.
Also, I didn't check this for spelling errors AT ALL so please let me know if I miss spell something so I can laugh at myself.
