Another chapter brought to you by my inability to get tf outta bed and be active
3rd POV
About 30 minutes later Tsukauchi came back to find Emi and Hajime sitting at the table, having a nice little chat with a pale looking Hitoshi.
"I'm afraid I must break this up. I have others to question, but you may visit frequently." Tsukauchi said, clapping his hands.
Emi and Hamjime both smiled and got up, hugging their son.
"We'll see you tomorrow Hitoshi." Emi said with a clearly forced smile as she proactively seethed through her teeth.
"Thank you for understanding. You're welcome any time." Tsukauchi saw them out and then finally came back to undo Shinsou cuffs so he could get up. "Oh goodness, looks like you've got a bruise there kid. What happened?"
Shinsou pale fingers ghosted past the darkening bruise on his left cheek.
"I was trying to hug my parents.. and I t-tripped and slammed my head on the t-table.."
Well part of that was true. His head had been slammed onto the table. More would have been done, but he couldn't hide the bruises if he wasn't going home. Hitoshi had been saved this time.
"Well that's oughta suck kid. I'll send down an ice pack later so the swelling'll stop." Tsukauchi guided his hands back into the hand cuffs and then lead Shinsou back to the cell. "I'll see you tomorrow Hitoshi!"
As soon as Tsukauchi left, Shinsou crashed to the ground. He excepted the small whispered questions from Aizawa, the small commands to take a deep breath, the light hugs and the soft whispers of encouragement.
Not only excepted but secretly wished it would continue forever. But of course, once his panicked state had vanished, as did most of Aizawa's nurturing state.
"What happened kid?" Aizawa asked quietly.
Yamada wasn't commenting from down the hall so he was either taken for questioning next or he could read the room better than Aizawa thought he could.
"I-I.. I can't- I have to- Izuku. I- I want I-Izuku-" Shinsou sobbed.
"I'm really sorry kid but Midoriya is somewhere else right now. Is that why you're upset? Because Midoriya isn't here?" Aizawa guessed.
He couldn't help but let his dad side take over as he saw the tears stream down Shinsou's face at a rapid pace.
Shinsou shook his head and sobbed again.
"I have to stay here- pl-please don't let me g-go back o-out! Pl-please!" Hitoshi pleaded.
It didn't matter what kind of sick game this was, he knew he wasn't brain washed. He knew Izuku hadn't kidnapped him. He knew his parents were abusive and that was the end of the story. Whatever Tsukauchi was talking about was false.
"Come on problem child number two. You have to tell me what's going on.." Aizawa mumbled.
He felt it would be awkward the hug to boy but he didn't really now how to sit around and do nothing so he hugged Shinsou anyways.
Thankfully, it wasn't awkward because Hitoshi hugged back like Aizawa was his lifeline.
"M-my parents.. m-my- m-y-"
Aizawa's eyes widened.
Even he knew what that meant. Had the police department not gotten his report? Had the police department not gotten the two crooks who were planning on selling Shinsou and the mother who was making it all happen?
