TW people, similar to when Izuku had his flashbacks. If you skipped that you might want to skip this. I'll try my best to answer questions when it's over if you skipped.

3rd POV

If Izuku could, cry he would.

He didn't know what this was but he wanted to stop. He couldn't move, couldn't speak. No one could see or hear him. It felt as if he were looking at this from a third person point of view.

At first it started out fine. It was just flashbacks of him in the salt mines, nothing he hadn't dealt with before.

Then it changed and he was looking at Shinsou enduring the beatings and rape sessions he had been given. The countless people lined up. Minutes later it was Shinsou chained up to the point of passing out. After that it was mining the salt for the animals called overseers. And then those two damn siblings he hated so much that always took care of him.

All of it happening to Shinsou.

His screams were echoing through Izuku's mind on repeat.

Some part of him new this was fake, some part of him knew this couldn't happen, but it was real. Too real. To the point he was as scared as the first time he found out he had lost the ability to feel happiness when he was 5.

Of course that didn't last long because he lost the ability to feel fear soon after, but this wasn't going away.

The fear was building up inside of him as he watched Shinsou bloody and bruise and become paler than anyone would have thought possible. Not Izuku though, because those things had happened to him. This had all happened to him.

The scene changed and Izuku was relieved until he saw the alternative.

Shinsou was struggling to breath, laying on the pavement road. No one stopped to help him, only pulled out their phones and recorded as Shinsou continued to bleed.

This was so familiar.. the day Izuku had turned 10, he wanted to treat himself. He was walking down the street minding his business when villains showed up. Naturally he put on his mask and hoodie to cover his hair and engaged in a fight.

He found out a second too late that one had a claw enhancing quirk. As a last attempt to get away the man slashed open Izuku's side and ran with his comrade.

He had laid on that road, bleeding out for hours. It had felt like days.

The paramedics took him in, stitched him up and had made sure he was ok for the four days he was passed out due to blood loss. When he woke, he had taken water and food and immediately left before they could figure out what and who he was.

But now it was happening to Shinsou..

He wouldn't have wished his past on his worst enemy, let alone the light of his young teenage heart.

And for what felt like days- years, he watched as Shinsou bled and no one helped him. He watched as the paramedics denied him medical assistance. He watched as a steady stream of blood fell from Shinsou's lips. He watched as Shinsou's chest stopped rising and falling.

"NO!"

He had screamed, tried to move, to advance towards his love, but he so much as blinked and the scene was different again.

————— YOU GUYS ARE GOOD NOW!!!! (But the usual read with caution remains as it has this whole book.)

Emi's smile immediately dropped when Tsukauchi left.
