I have a rant at the bottom and I guess that was mostly just for me to say how I feel. You can say how you feel too, I won't stop you but please don't come at me😂
3rd POV
"Aizawa." Tsukauchi plainly stated.
"Tsukauchi." Aizawa glared right back.
After minutes of silence Tsukauchi looked away, grabbing a file. He had a lot of files but this time it was one of the pens he had already grabbed.
"Midoriya Izuku. You obviously know all about him so let's get right into it. He has committed several unlawful acts throughout years of defying the law, but the ones that really stand out of his record are murder and kidnapping.
"And as you have been looking out for him you obviously know that the Shinsou boy was the most recent he has kidnapped."
"You're actually insane.." Aizawa stated, not even realizing Kaminari had said the exact same thing.
"It is unknown if he has kidnapped any others at this time. The crimes you have committed include withheld information from the proper authorities and associating with criminals. Are you ready to just admit your crimes so this can be over?"
"Afraid I cant do that detective." Aizawa lazily leaned back. "Even if I did do those things- which I didn't- half of your information is just completely wrong."
Tsukauchi groaned and literally face palmed. "Guards, take him back to his cell and bring in Yamada." Tsukauchi called.
"Yes please take me back."
—————
"Detective Tsukauchi, good afternoon!" Yamada happily sing songed before Tsukauchi had the chance to talk.
Tsukauchi just weakly smiled.
"I've been at this all day and I'd agree that it's about time we all just get a break. Admit that you and your family are guilty and there won't be a trial, we can just send you straight the prison for a few years." Tsukauchi stated tiredly.
Yamada shrugged and kept his bright smile. "I do agree Tsukauchi, it's been a long day! But I hate to inform you that this day will only get longer because I'm not guilty. Nor is my family!" Yamada happily informed.
"If you tell me you're guilty I'll allow you to visit the Todoroki child before he's transferred to a hospital."
Everything was silent for a few seconds. Yamada wasn't even thinking, he didn't know what to think. Was Shoto finally getting the medical help he needed? Was that scream earlier from Denki because of Shoto? Was Shoto seriously injured..?
"W-What.. um.." Yamada cleared his throat. "What happened to Shoto?"
"He stopped breathing." Tsukauchi suddenly felt less tired and more energized at the possibility that he might get the family to 'confess' just so they could see Shoto. "He's stable now but due to parodical he will be transferred to the nearest Tokyo hospital. Afterwards he will immediately be transferred back to the the precinct. But it could take anywhere from weeks to months."
"Weeks to.. months?" Yamada said slowly.
Whereas Tsukauchi thought he was thinking about confessing , Yamada was actually thinking about Shoto's mental health.
The family hadn't ever been apart for more than a day or two. Weeks to months of being apart? He had no idea how much that would effect Shoto traumatically..
"So.. do you have anything to say?" Tsukauchi coxed.
"I'd.. I'd like to go back to my cell." Yamada said quietly, letting the guards pull him up as Tsukauchi groaned. "Good day detective."
—————
"Hizashi?" Aizawa asked quietly.
Yamada assumed it was because Shinsou had finally fallen asleep.
"Hey Sho." Yamada said quietly with a small sad smile present on his face. He was happy Aizawa couldn't see him right now because he had no doubt he looked like a reck.
"You ok over there?" Aizawa tried to joke. "What happened during questioning? You seem a little down."
"U-um.." For a second Yamada seriously considered not telling Aizawa about his knew information about Shoto, but he quickly shook the thought from his head. "I'm questioning Tsukauchi started talking about Shoto.. and he told me that Shoto is in the h-hospital.." Yamada said quietly.
"Oh." Aizawa cleared his thought and asked "What happened?"
Yamada wasn't sure he would be able to say what Tsukauchi had told him so he just stayed quiet.
Luckily, Aizawa got the message.
"He'll be ok.. right?"
Aizawa's hesitant voice sounded as if it was about to crack. He had questions. Many many questions. Most were about his children, including Izuku, but some were about the situation they were in.
It might just be him but it really made no sense.
"Yeah, he's stable. He should be fine but we might not see him for months." Yamada answered, quieting as a guard passed.
After the guard was down the hallway quite a ways, Aizawa spoke up again. "But Shoto.. what if he can't-"
"I know Shouta. The only bright side about this is that I imagine our trial is coming up soon, since none of us could confess. The sooner we prove ourself innocent, the sooner we can see him."
Aizawa nodded and hugged out a breath, looking a the small purple haired boy across the cell, huddled up in Aizawa's jacket.
This was already the longest experience in his life.
—————
Izuku took another long deep breath. Denki has been silently crying for a while now. Izuku didn't know how long because of course no one would tell them what tile it was.
And of course his crabby mood was intensified because he was sporting a major headache.
He didn't want to blame Denki or his crying because he had a good reason to cry but damn, it was not helping.
"You know, Denki, maybe we just need some good sleep tonight. Clear everything up. I'm sure there will be news about Shoto when we wake up." Izuku suggested.
"Are you the people Todoroki Shoto was with when he stopped breathing?" A sudden voice asked, making Izuku jump.
He was beyond tired - which was rare - and his headache provided physical pain whenever he looked at something bright.
It didn't help that florescent lights filled the place to the brim.
"Yeah, yeah we are." Izuku mumbled, dragging a hand down his face. It wasn't difficult because no one had put their handcuffs back on. If Izuku was in the mood, he could've gotten out easy. But there were other people here because of him. He wasn't just going to leave them.
"I'm going to need you to come with me."
This had nothing to do with today chapter but let me just rant for a second.
I've been reading a lot of books with dadzawa in them recently and a lot of them involve adopting someone (which- you can't just say you've adopted someone, you actually go to court and have to pay a large amount of money- but that's a whole mother rant) and then the books turn right around and have the two adopted brothers get together.
It's cute and all, and really I mean no disrespect but if you couldn't have already told, I believe strongly that an adopted family is your real family. (Don't come at me tho, this is just my impression coming from being adopted.)
I don't know where I was going with this, but yeah. I love the stories and I know it sounds like I doesn't but I have problems so don't listen to me.
That went on longer than I meant it to but yeah.. I hope you enjoyed the chapter❤️
