The five piled into Reginald's car, Five in the driver's seat, Luther passenger, Leta, Diego and Klaus in the back.
"Please tell me you remember the address D? Allison took the file with her." Leta mumbled, buckling herself in, and making Klaus do the same. The childish man stuck out his tongue at her, Leta returning the favor.
"Of course," he said, as if her asking was offensive. She turned to Klaus, Diego leaning forward and telling Five the address as they began to speed away from town.
Leta held up her hand to the man, a piece of watermelon gun clasped between her fingers. He happily took it, chewing the piece intently. She put a piece in her own mouth, going to offer one to Diego. He shook his head, leaning back and closing his eyes. The woman shrugged, laying her head onto Klaus's shoulder and staring out the windshield at the darkening skyline.
She didn't know when, but she had fallen asleep, suddenly jerking awake as the car slammed to a stop in front of a wooden shack in the middle of nowhere. Even in her sleepy state she filed out of the car along with the rest of the Hargreeves in a worried state. She walked in front of Klaus, watching as Luther ripped open the unlocked door.
The smell of blood hit her dead in the face.
"Allison!" he called, collapsing down to the floor. Everyone else entered, staring down in horror at the scene in front of them. A hand flew up to Five's mouth, holding in a gasp. Leta could only shake her head, a small trickle of 'no' flowing out of her lips to no one's ears. She moved forward, ignoring Diego's grip on her shoulder.
Her hands shook as she put a hand on her sister's face.
The woman moved.
She was alive.
Luther immediately put his arms under the woman, brushing his fingers on her cheek.
"We need to get her back to the Academy." Diego was the first to speak, always cool in a crisis. Well, almost always.
"How?" Five snapped at the man, "It could be even more dangerous."
Leta turned to the boy, body quivering. "We have to try. We have to."
"If we don't then she's going to bleed out all over the floor." Leta's stomach lurched at Diego's words. They all knew he was right.
"Diego's right," Klaus piped up, turning to the others. He had been unable to look at his sister. "We have to get her to Grace."
Leta moved forward a bit, Luther unaware of the conversation at hand. "We have to go Luther. We have to take her home."
The large man simply nodded, lifting the limp woman off of the ground, gently but quickly taking her out to the vehicle. Luther, Leta and Diego sat in the back, the woman draped over their legs. Luther cradled her head as Leta pressed a towel to the wound, attempting to stop the bleeding. All Diego could do was stare.
"Luther, hold this in place, not too much pressure or you'll crush her windpipe." The man simply nodded, putting his hands on the now red towel. Leta reached up and put her fingers on the side of the woman's head.
"What are you doing?" Diego muttered, attempting to keep Luther calm. She turned her head to her brother, sucking in a heavy breath.
"Half of staying alive is your choice. I'm making sure she makes the right one."
And with that she closed her eyes, a purple light gently glowing from the connection between her fingertips and the woman's temple.
She sat silent, along with the rest of the vehicle. All she could do was stimulate her mind, keep it running, keep some sort of consciousness flowing. Luther didn't move his attention from Allison for one moment, but Diego and Klaus couldn't help but stare at Leta, sweat was building up on her brow, face becoming a bit pale as time went on. They knew it couldn't be easy for her, but she wasn't one to give up either.
