Leta stayed planted to the spot as she watched Diego dig through the rubble.

"Mom!" he called, throwing away boulders as he dug.

She knew she wasn't there.

No one could have survived that.

"Klaus, come here, help me search!" he slowly approached his brother, sadness and pity laced in his eyes. He leaned over and grabbed his frantic brother's hands. "Wha-what are you doing?" His words quivered. It couldn't be real.

Klaus looked at his brother, the scene reminding him of the last love he lost. He knew the pain. "Stop Diego. Stop." He glanced around the rubble. No matter how much they had despised the memories in it, this place had been their home, and it was gone. "She's gone, she's-" his voice caught, tears building up that he would not let slide, "She's gone."

Diego turned to him, mouth agape and lip quivering, "What do you wanna do? You wanna- you wanna just... just walk away from this?"

"Diego-"

"And what about Pogo?"

"Pogo's dead." they turned their attention to the once silent Leta. She wouldnt look at them, only where he was. "She killed- she killed him."

Klaus shook his head, Diego rising from the debris. "Vanya would never do that!"

"I saw her." Luther walked up to the pair, shock absorbing their faces.

Diego shook his head, bits of dust flying from his scalp. "First Mom, now Pogo."

Leta crossed her arms, finally looking away. Hot tears burned her dry eyes. Allison put an arm around her sister's shoulders, unable to offer any words of encouragement.

They jumped a bit. A blue burst of energy formed beside them, Five appearing on the sidewalk. "This is it. The apocalypse is still on, the world ends today."

Luther waded his way out of the wreckage, Klaus and a reluctant Diego following behind him. "I thought you said it was over?"

"Well, I was wrong. Look at this newspaper, the headline is the same as the one I found in the Apocalypse." Leta snapped herself awake, gently pulling out of her sister's grip.

Luther crossed his arms, "The paper could have come out before the timeline changed."

"I wouldn't be so sure." the boy gestured to the demolished building next to them. "When I got to the Apocalypse, I assumed that this building was destroyed along with all the rest of them, but here we are, the moon's still shining, the earth in one piece, but not the Academy."

Leta stepped forward, "But were not inside it this time."

"Small details."

Klaus knit his eyebrows, resting his fists on his hips and cocking one side out. "I'm confused."

"Then listen up you idiot," Five sneered, "Vanya destroys the Academy before the Apocalypse. I thought Harold Jenkin was the cause, but..." he sighed, looking at the aftermath of his failure, "He was the fuse."

Luther hung his head, "And Vanya is the bomb."

Helicopter blades whirred overhead, the six staring up at the sky, "We need to find her, and quick, but first we need to get out of here." Five shouted over the thundering sound. They rushed off into the night and away from the arriving emergency teams. "Regroup at the Super Star, go!"

Leta grabbed Klaus in one hand, Diego in the other and pulled them off, through an alleyway and out of the sight of the onlookers. Before anyone knew they were there, they were gone.
