Leta shoved through the crowd, chaos had already began to ensue. People raced away from the stage, her eyes widened as she made it to the front of the rushing mass. Vanya stood center stage, her suit turned white, and so were her eyes. There was a glowing aura of energy around her that had just flung Diego and Luther into the third row of seating.

She rushed forward, sliding in next to Allison and hiding in the row. Luther glaired at her, something that she was accustomed to by now, "Where were you?" he shouted over the continued symphony.

"None of your buissness!"

Suddenly a bullet pierced the chair abover her head, causing a yelp to escape out of her lips. More rounds began to go off behind them, the three scurrying over and into a different row. "Great! I thought Klaus was supposed to be the look out!" He called again. Leta held in a retort, sliding in next to Allison who was waving around her arms, pulling one over the other in a timed movement.

The violin.

"Luther! We have to get the violin away from her!" He peeked over the seats for just a moment, hunkering back down and giving the two women a nod.

"Leta, stay here and protect Allison." He ordered. Both women scoffed. He ran off to attack the assailents, leaving the two alone.

She turned Allison around, grabbing the woman's attention. "I'm gonna try something. Don't die." The woman simply nodded as Leta hopped up and raced over as close as she could get to the gunmen without getting hit.

Come on come on come on... She pinched shut her eyes for only a moment, calling fourth all her courage before rushing forward, grabbing one of the men by the arm.

He suddenly collapsed to the ground. Leta grunted as a wave of nausea rushed across her, but she didn't care. It worked.

She made her way through a couple of guys, around two dozen, before spotting Luther heading back towards Allison. And he was not alone.

Her eyes widened, the man taking aim almost point blank at the backside of his head. "NO!"

Her heart lept into her throat as she lept into the air. Not today. No one was dieing today.

*~*

Luther turned over his shoulder at her scream, whipping around to see a man with a gun trained on his head.

He prepared for the impact.

But it never came.

His attention peeled away from the man, looking at Leta. Her eyes were radiating a purple energy, the same that had come from her fingertips when she kept Allison alive. It absorbed her hand and swirled around the man.

The man slowly turned away, his weapon pointing at the others.

They didn't seem to notice.

He shot them down one by one.

His jaw hung open as he stared at the sight. Suddenly a pulse of blue energy shot out from the other direction, dragging his attention to Klaus. He stood with his arms spread wide, tentacles of blue energy swarming out from him, grabbing and destroying the people who now had seen Leta. He was protecting her.

Luther crouched down next to Allison, his attention drawing back to Klaus. But it wasn't just him, he realized. It was Ben.

*~*

The gunfire stopped, the man under her control turned to her.

"Thank you." She muttered, the words coming from both of their mouths.

The light purple energy faded, taking her strength along with it. Her knees buckled, sending her sprawling to the ground, the man following suit.

A gentle hand wrapped around her shoulder, lifting her up and towards the others. It was Five. "Hey, where've you been?" SHe muttered out, the pain radiating across her body slowly subsiding.

The boy chuckled, quickly setting her down beside Luther, who was at a loss for words. About at this moment Diego and Klaus both appeared next to the four. Luther glanced at Diego a bit agitated. "Where were you?"

He glanced over at Klaus who was beaded with sweat from his manifestation of Ben. "Honoring a memory."

Leta rolled her eyes, shoving herself up and shaking her head.

The building was beginning to collapse, the bright waves of pure light radiating off of Vanya becoming stronger and more frequent. Diego pulled over to Luther, grabbing the larger man by the shoulder. "What do we do now!"

Luther looked between each of them and then back at the woman on stage. "We surround her, alright? We come at her from all angles."

Klaus shuffled behind the others, throwing Leta's arm around his shoulders. "So it's a suicide mission?" He shouted over the instrument. Leta gulped down the rising sorrow in her chest.

Five looked over at the two. Klaus was gripping onto her hand for dear life. "It's worth a shot, one of us could get through."

"Are we all in?" Diego looked at them all expectantly. The three men nodding their heads.

"Leta?" She widened her eyes, glancing at the woman on the stage. There was no book now. Now it was Pogo hung on a wall. She nodded, tears stinging her eyes. "Allison?" The curly haired women couldn't do it. She shook her head, a bit of disappointment rising in the others chests.

Leta scrunched up her nose, turning away from the music. Allison's big brown eyes welled up with tears as she looked at her. She couldn't do it.

Luther patted Diego on the shoulder, pointing to the left, he imediatly moving out. "I'll take the right, you three-"

"I can't!" Leta shouted, Allison grabbing her hand.

Luther scowled, turning back to Five and Klaus. "Fine. You two, take the front. Go!"

Klaus looked down at her, her eyes burrowing into his heart. "Klaus please!" He shook his head, grabbing her cheeks and planting a soft peck on her forehead. Then he was gone. Leta turned to Allison, her face pinched in thought. "So, what now?"

The woman looked between her and Vanya, a spark suddenly rushing through her face. Allison grabbed the weapon from Leta's waistband, pointing at Vanya, and then back at Leta's head. She closed her eyes and did magic fingers.

"Let me guess, distract her?" The woman timidly nodded, which Leta reluctantly returned. She gave her a quick hug before disappearing behind the stage.

Leta sucked in a hot breath, watching as the other four men got into place. Her breath caught in her throat as they charged forward.

Please, Please...

She held in a gasp, a wave of energy washing out as Vanya struck out her bow. They were each suspended in air, held by a beam of white energy. Leta could feel the pain running through her bones, like the energy being syphoned right out of her.

Her nose scrunched up, crouching down and pinching together her eyelids.

Concentrate, find Vanya...

The world melted around her, the usual calm of the black swarming like a hurricane. She shielded her eyes from the sting, rushing forward towards the only thing she could see, a bright white star twice the size of anything she had ever seen poised right in the middle of her galaxy. Wind shoved her backwards, slicing into her skin, hot fire filling her lungs as if she was drowning, but she pushed forward. Each step felt like a fire poker jabbed to the gut, her hands stretching forward.

Tears rolled down her eyes, screams enveloping her mind, they clouded her thoughts, they tore her away from it all, there was nothing except her and the big white light.

Her pain and the big white light.

She was so tired, but something kept pulling her forward, her fingers merely inches away.

Centimeters away.

Just a second away.

And they touched.
