It was a beautiful afternoon. The Las Vegas sun was warm. "Sexy island weather", that's what she called it, right?
Zak flipped through the stations on his Sirius XM when a Def Leppard song caught his ear, "Love Bites".
...Love bites, love bleeds
It's bringing me to my knees...
He listened to the song, and the words moved him. He knew in his heart he was falling for Sara.
Zak looked at his speedometer, he was doing 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. He put his foot lightly on the brake to slow down. The last thing I need is to get pulled over right now.
He pulled up to Sara's hotel and left his car with the valet. He made his way through the lobby and to the elevators. A few people recognized him and he nodded hello to them in acknowledgment. He took the elevator up to Sara's room. His heart was racing. He was a little bit shaky. He stepped off of the elevator and walked towards her room. He knocked on her door softly. What am I doing here?
He listened for footsteps. When he didn't hear any, he tried knocking again.
