Sara and her friends finished up lunch and made a store run for champagne. "How many bottles do we need?" Shanna asked.
"Oh, I forgot to mention that Zak invited his sister to the concert tonight," Sara interjected. "So, they will be joining us."
Shanna, Jolie, and Melissa all looked at each other and then laughed. "When did he tell you that?" Jolie asked.
"This morning. I totally forgot about it until right now," Sara replied.
"Six bottles of champagne sound good? Just in case he has a few friends over so everyone can have a toast?" Shanna asked.
"That should be enough," Sara replied.
They bought the last six bottles of Veuve Clicquot that Trader Joe's had in stock, then headed back to Zak's house.
Sara texted Zak:
we're heading back to your place ❤️
Zak replied:
Sounds good. See you soon. 😘
His mood visibly lightened.
"Was that Sara, bro?" Aaron asked.
"Yeah," Zak said as a quirky smile danced on his lips.
"And...?" Aaron pressed.
Zak's smile broadened. "They're on their way back."
