The alarm was set for 6.30 in the morning. That's when Grillby got up. He first went to the bathroom.

In the meantime, Sans' alarm went off at 6.45, which Sans immediately postponed until 7.00.

Grillby got dressed, and called for Sans to "better move his ass to the kitchen and have breakfast." Sans didn't even hear him through his sleep.

At 7, he changed his alarm for 7.15. Grillby said something about being late on the first day of work, which Sans ignored completely.

Grillby was making breakfast. He heard Sans's alarm from the kitchen, at 7.30. With the scrambled eggs ready, Grillby waited for Sans to come and eat. The skeleton didn't get up from bed, so Grillby figured he had to eat on his own.

He heard another alarm at 7.45, when he realised how late it was. He rushed to the bedroom and woke Sans up, a little too roughly.

"grillbz, for god's sake. the house better be fucking burning for how badly you woke me up!" Sans bitterly said, taking the blanket off of himself.

"Sorry, nothing is burning. But you have about 15 minutes to get to the NASA center."

Sans didn't respomd for a solid minute, then, like something in his mind just clicked, he jolted up from bed, rushed to the bathroom, and then back into the bedroom to change.

"I made eggs." Grillby felt the need to tell him as the other was desparately trying to tie his shoes faster.

"that's eggcelent, hun. don't wanna break it to you, but i don't really have time to eat."

After some time, Sans sprinted to the door, where Grillby was already waiting.

"Yet you still have time to make puns." He held the door open as the skeleton walked out.

"i always have time to crack a joke. see ya!" With that, Sans teleported away, leaving Grillby to lock the door.

Sans went to Grillby's new restaurant right after he finnished work. Well, the place couldn't really be described as a restaurant, Sans was surprised it was even still standing. The roof was mostily there, though the windows decided they would leave a long time ago by the looks of it. It still had a door, which Grillby didn't forget to lock.

Outside waited a truck, which the skeleton guessed was full of supplies.

Sans climbed on one of the window frames amd looked inside. His lover was hunched over a table with a lot of people around him. He looked like he was trying really hard to explain something, while at the same time he pointed at stuff on a few pieces of paper.

After he finished talking, all the people went their own ways, walking around in there and starting work.

Sans, still comfortably seated on what used to be a windowsill, called for his boyfriend. "i wander what were the other options if this one was the best of them." he said, all amused. "did you also look at pictures of abandoned cult houses?"

Grillby immediately looked at Sans, scrunching his nose. "I really tried, you know?"

Sans climbed down the window and stood now inside of the building, his feet making the old wood floor creek. "yeah, and i'm proud of you, but this place looks worse than the one tiana wanted in princess and the frog."

Grillby raised an eyebrow and Sans guessed he had never heard of the movie. Well, not his fault Papyrus and Frisk made him watch anything Disney.

"please remind me to watch that together some day. i think you'd really like it."

"Because I remind you of the princess?" Grillby rolled his eyes amd pushed his glasses up a little.

Sans shrugged. "yeah... and because i remind myself of the frog. and they end up together sooo..."

Grillby smiled and lowered his shoulders, looking suddenly more relaxed. "Tell me you don't see this place becoming a 'Grillby's'. With my name shining above it and the crowd at the door. Like it was in the Underground."

"like it was in the underground..." Sans recalled. Grillby gave a little laugh.

Sans got closer to him and looked at the table. "what are the plans, captain?"

Grillby started explaining everything again with enthusiasm in his voice. Sans nodded and listened to everything.

"Maybe one or two months." Grillby finished. "And we can start the important stuff?"

"like what?"

"Like bringing in the tables, and buying all the plates and the glasses, and putting some pictures on the walls."

"cool."

They exchanged a kiss. "you'll stay here all day to see the other's work or can we go home?"

"I'll..." Grillby looked around at everyone amd everything. "I'll just stay a bit more. You can leave if you wan-"

"bullshit!" Sans cut him off. "i'm staying right here with you. and i'll tell you how my first day has been because i'm in good mood and this is a good day for a monday."

They talked for about an hour. After that, Grillby talked to the workers again and told Sans it was ok for both of them to go home.

"i'm hungry." Sams groaned as they entered their apartment.

"There's still some eggs from earlier, if you want."

Sans groaned again, remebering how here, in this house, there weren't leftover spaghetti in the fridge at all times.
His mind wandered to Papyrus and what he is doing.

"forget it." He said to Grillby. "I'm not hungry anymore."
That was a pretty bad lie, Sans knew that much. But he was missing his brother a lot, so he might as well call him.

"Sans, you called! I didn't think you would really do it... You always forget stuff."

His brother's voice made Sans smile.

"how could i ever forget about you, bro?"

"How was your day? Did you have fun at that job? Was it better than sentry duty back Underground?"

At that moment, all Sans ever wanted was to get back to his brother and hug him. He wanted to give up everything at that second and go back to their home.

"sorry to break it to ya, but it was better."

"So you didn't sleep when you shouldn't have?"

"well, i hardly got up in the morning..."

Sans chatted with Papyrus for around 20 minutes. In the meantime, Grillby got changed and now sat on the sofa next to Sans.
When the skeleton finished, he wrapped a hand across his shoulders.

Sans looked at him in confusion.
"I just want to make sure you're ok." Grillby said.

" i'm fine, why would you think-"

Grillby leaned closer and wiped a tear of Sans' face. Sans looked at the other's hand, hardly believing he really teared up.

"i'm fine, love. really." Sans smiled, but his eyes gave away how much he was missing his brother.

Grillby didn't say anything else. He pulled Sans onto his lap and they just stood like that, cuddling and sharing kisses from time to time.

A/N: again, this is so short. Like 1100 words. Hope I can do better. See you, dears!
