"i have zero..." Sans stumbled on his words. "zero alcohol resistance." He let his head fall on Grillby's shoulder.

"Yeah, I knew that." His lover said, playing with his glass. The white-rose liquid in it spun around, without spilling over.

Fuku went to bed maybe half an hour earlier. It was midnight now. Grillby heard Sans snore.

"I... I think we should head home."
His mum and his brother tried to protest, but he refused all their suggestions.

Grillby drank all the wine left in his glass in one go. He put the empty glass on the table and immediately regreted that he'd done that. A little dazed from the alcohol, he draged Sans up from the sofa.

"C'mon, honey, we're getting a taxi."

"Bro," That was Flamo. "Didn't it take you like... an hour to get here? A taxi is gonna cost a fortune."

Grillby remembered once again his bloody leather jacket which he didn't bring with him.
"We'll be fine. I can afford a ride home."

He put a jacket around his shoulders. To his pleasant surprise, Sans managed to put on his shoes and his jacket.

"Oh, and I'm taking your jacket, Flamo!" Grillby called, ready to leave.

His brother opened his mouth to protest. Grillby interrupted him.
"Don't be mad. I'll give it back. Plus, it gives me a reason to visit your home, too, right?"

His brother still looked a little mad, but he nodded and waved them goodbye.

Grillby called a taxi and him and Sans got in.
Grillby took the window seat of the backseat, while Sans sat in the middle. They both ended up falling asleep in the first ten minutes of the drive home.

The taxi driver honked loudly. The two jumped suddenly, immediately woken up.

"This is the address, right?" The driver asked.
Grillby realised they were in front of their apartment building.
"Yeah, this is it. Sorry, I might have... snored a little."

The guy put his hand around the right seat, turning his body to look at the two monsters he drove home.

"It's ok, I don't mind. Make sure you two get enough sleep."

Grillby nodded. "How much do I owe you?"

The driver shrugged. "It's on the house."
His attention got distracted by a sound outside. Some crackheads lingered around at the entrance in the apartment building.
"You... You sure you'll make it home safe?"

Grillby looked at the people as well. "We'll be fine. We literally have to walk about 10 feet. And about the money..." He felt around for his wallet.

The driver was half out of the car. "Don't worry about the money. I'm glad to help. Please give me the plesure to walk with you to the door."

Grillby shrugged and got out of the car, Sans right behind him. Walking around with their taxi driver felt like having a personal bodyguard.

"Thanks, man." Grillby said, shaking the hand of the driver. He had walked them to their apartment door. "What's with all this caring?"

"Wanna help the best I can. The world is an ugly place anyway."

Grillby smiled. They walked in and went directly to the bedroom.

"i'm gonna be honest with you, grillbz, i'm gonna sleep in this shirt."

Grillby nodded, thinking if he should really use the little energy he still had to change.
