Jimin's point of view:

"The barn they were at had cameras on the outside and inside so we got pretty good evidence to issue a search warrant for his-I mean your house. We got a diary where he had written everything he had done. The cameras in his office, they have video recordings of him beating your sister. I'm sorry to say this but your father is most probably in for life. Same with Sung Jae, the kid we got in with him, the one who shot your sister?"

"Yeah we know him"

"If she gets stable and is alive, it will be a life sentence otherwise it will be a death sentence" he replied.

I didn't want to think about the implications of the second part of that statement. I didn't want to think about not having her in my life anymore. I didn't want to think about what I'd do if she is really not there with me and I could say the same thing about Yoongi hyung seeing him grimace at the thought of it.

"- so do you want to view it?" I nod subconsciously.

"Jimin!" Namjoon hyung's voice cuts through my wandering thoughts.

"Hmmm?"

"Did you even hear what he is talking about? He wants you to see the video of what happened yesterday night"

"Yeah. I should be strong enough to watch it. I promise it won't affect me" I pat his back before following Mr. Lee out the door.

"Hey Jimin, I told you to watch it because we need at least one family member to view it before we present it in the court. Are you sure you want to do it? I can get one of your friends to review it for you" he says as we sit in the car.

"No, that's fine. I'll be fine"

"As you say"

When we reach the station, he turns over a laptop on his desk to face me. "Click the play button when you're ready. This is one of the inner cameras"

"Hmmm" and I click the play button. The video starts off as a steady stream, noona being brought in by two of the men, unconscious. Hands and legs bound with a rag in her mouth. I try my best to keep a straight face. It should not affect me. I will not let it.

She is tied to a pole. Sung Jae and father come in, discussing.

"Are you sure this is going to work?"

"Yes sir. We just have to wait for my friend. We can even give him a little incentive before he gets here" father nods and settles himself on the edge of the barn, in the darkest corner.

Sung Jae waits for her to get up for about five minutes before noona is stirring awake. She tries to move her hands but realizes her situation. Looking up ahead into Sung Jae's eyes, she whimpers. His body dips as he bends down to her level, running a finger along her jaw. A shiver runs through me on seeing the terrified look on my sister's face.

He yanks the rag out of her mouth, gripping her jaw gently.

"Hey baby, will you come with me? We'll go to my place and I'll keep you safe, safe from everyone" I can see noona shiver as he says this.

"Never" she spits out. I can see Sung Jae rolling his back muscles before shoving the cloth into her mouth again and standing up. He moves around the place, walking back and forth.

"I'm sorry, love" he says, standing hovering over her before kicking her leg probably as hard as he can. She howls in pain, coming muffled from the cloth. He picks up another piece of a random cloth and shoves it inside her mouth too.

"Dad no! She has nothing to do with it. I don't like doing this. Please dad. S-stop! You're h-hurting her" I whimper as he kicks her continuously, her whimpers and pants ringing in my ear.

"D-dad please let her go, l-let me go. I'm s-sorry. I won't do it again. D-dad please, please let her go. D-don't hurt her" Sung Jae begins to walk over to me on dad's orders. He grabs my arm and pulls me out of dad's office.

"Dad no! Stop! D-don't hurt her. S-stop!" I thrash in Sung Jae's hold but it doesn't falter. Standing outside the office with the door closed is nothing different than being inside the office. Hearing her screams is nothing better than seeing her being beaten through blurry vision.

He keeps on kicking her in the same leg, her right one. She whimpers, screams, shouts but it's all muffled. Her agony is clearly displayed on her face. Her furrowed brows and scowled lips, puffed up cheeks are all signs of her pain.

She comes out, whimpering at each footfall. Only then does Sung Jae release me from his hold, moving behind dad to follow him out of the house. She smiles up at me when she looks at me, blood dripping down from her nose, to her lips and chin, one hand clutching a side of her waist, just below the ribs and the other on holding onto the doorframe.

"I'm fine, Jimin. It's alright" and she drops into my arms. I stumble because of the sudden weight on me. I gently lay her down, body going into panic. The thunder resonates inside the house, lights flickering for a second before switching back on, as if trying to make me realize my position, show me how useless I am. I try to search for my phone, fumbling around. It was the first time dad had ever beaten her up, I didn't know what to do.

"Chimchim" a weak voice calls out to me and I look at her.

"Hey. Hang in there. I-I'm calling the a-ambulance, okay?"

"N-no. S-stop. Just take me to my room" she coughs up blood, clutching her side again, trying to sit up "I'll ask one of the maids to get me up, okay? I'm fine. See it doesn't hurt" she presses into one of the bruises on her arm, trying to hide the wince from her face in the split second when I look at her fingers pressing into her skin. I swat her hand away from her skin and call for a maid as soon as I can.

"Stop. Please stop. I-I can't. I can't take it anymore. I'm sorry. I have t-to go" I stand up abruptly, the chair screeching against the tiles. I walk out of the station, feeling everyone's eyes staring at me. I go off to wander around the city on the footpaths, not caring where my feet carry me, tears blurring my vision.

It was all my fault then and it still is now. If only I could get there early, noona would not have been shot. Oh God! I can't even protect her. She has to get up. I need for her to get up. She cannot leave me, not yet. I can't let her –

"Jimin? Baby? What are you doing here? Why are you crying?"
