Soohyun intentionally released fake news that the wife of Mr. Choi committed suicide because of her depression that triggers when her husband got arrested. He plans to let everyone know about the fake news to gain sympathy from the public.

He purposely gives her a proper burial in a cemetery and miraculously let Beomgyu be in there to see her mother for the last time. Beomgyu remains standing in front of his mother's grave, being surrounded by guards.

Meanwhile, Taehyun feels worried because of the sudden changes to Beomgyu. His health might decline if he keeps on drowning himself into sadness and agony. He has no idea what is on Beomgyu's mind as he remains silent for two days, doing nothing but to stare on the wall all day.

 

Dark circles are visible from his face, and he loses weight. He is murmuring a short prayer for his mother, and his last message for her before leaving.

"One of the reasons why my younger self survived is because of you. You are singing to me when you saw me asleep. But sometimes, I pretend to be asleep so that I can hear you sweet and soothing voice that keeps me alive. I discovered my love and passion for music because of you, but I have to let go of that dream.

I thought, that I could protect you when I become a soldier. I knew that a lot of people would hate us in the future when the sins of our family would be exposed. I can never forgive myself for being not there to protect you. Thank you for everything. I love you mom, and see you soon."

Beomgyu's eyes are too tired from crying. His head hung low while staring at the grave. He carefully laid a bouquet of white roses on the grave, before turning his back to leave. His sorrowful eyes changed into a determined one, and he is clenching his fist tightly on his pants.

They left the cemetery. Later on, he noticed that the car is not taking the route to the villa. Instead, the car stopped in front of the city jail.

Beomgyu has no choice but to follow his uncle in entering the prison. He already knew that Soohyun purposely brought him to see his father, whom he loathed. The brothers are seated, both in front of Beomgyu.

Unlike Beomgyu, his father seems happy and satisfied. "You don't look good, and it's like you are about to die!"

Soohyun laughed, feeling proud and happy to see that his nephew is suffering.

"You won't feel lonely anymore, because you're going to follow your mother soon," Beomseok said, with a mocking smile on his lips.

Beomgyu remains emotionless, and he is aware that there's no use to go on a rampage. Killing all of them is useless, no matter how angry he is.

Beomgyu stood up as he comes closer to his father to whisper to his ears. "You never experienced, and you don't deserve a true love from anyone. You might have the power and money that you wanted, but it won't change the fact that you are worthless. You are just a snake that once loses its venom, it will become a useless worm!"
