Epilogue

Tomorrow morning, Beomgyu didn't think twice about coming to the Kang mansion when Yeonjun brought some news about the whereabouts of Taehyun's corpse.

"The policemen received a report from an anonymous caretaker that he found a rotting body in the basement of the mansion. They are planning to go to the mansion to confirm the said report later at 1 pm!" Yeonjun said a while ago.

Beomgyu borrowed Soobin's car, and his heart is beating fast when he finally arrived at the mansion. His rushed footsteps echo in the silent hallway, and he went to the basement. He started searching even if the surroundings and furniture are covered with thick dust.

He immediately saw a human-sized wooden box that looks like a coffin. He felt as if his heart is coming out from the rib cage because of his rapid heartbeat. Sadness started flooding into his mind when he slowly opened the coffin.

There's the lifeless body of his first love, with his stained clothes that used to be white. Maggots are consuming the rotten body that smells awful. The body is decomposing, but Taehyun's red-hair is still there. A bullet wound is on his forehead, and his body is almost unrecognizable. Some of the bones are visible, and the skin is completely gone.

Tears started pouring down to the corpse. Beomgyu's pain is indescribable in the thought of not giving his lover a decent burial. He grabbed Taehyun's dead body, hugging it and he does not even care to its smell, nor its appearance. His memories of Taehyun flashes before his eyes, and it made him scream while crying as if begging to bring him back.

Everything inside him screams for just one more kiss, one more word, one more.

He felt a pair of hands, gently tapping his shoulder. He wiped his tears when he saw Mr. Kang, and he can't help but stare at him. It is undeniable that Taehyun got his facial features from his father, and it made Beomgyu miss him more.

Taehyun's mother and sister are also standing beside them.

He carefully laid down the corpse, and then he faced Taehyun's family while doing his best to calm himself.

"Thank you for making him feel the real love that he deserves. Cherish our family crest, just like how you cherished him," Mrs. Kang held his hand.

It also made Beomgyu remember his mother that he also misses so much. His awaited life that he planned after the chaos will never happen because her mother is gone too.

Beomgyu's eyes turned glossy, looking away because he doesn't want Taehyun's family to notice that he is about to cry.

"He will never die in our hearts," Mr. Kang hugged Beomgyu slowly, patting his head gently.

Beomgyu is taken aback when Taehyun's mother and sister followed and hugged them, forming a group hug. He felt warm as if his heart is soothed with familial love that he longed and wanted.

His shoulders bobbed up and down, as he can't hold himself from crying on them.
