I ate my soggy cereal as I texted Finn. I shoved a spoonful of cereal as I got a notification. It was a text from Finn that he's outside. I quickly poured my cereal into the sink and ran to get my backpack and coat. "Where are you going, honey? The bus hasn't come yet." my mom said as I opened the front door. "Finn is picking up today," I said. My mom's smile grew wider as I answered her question.
"Well be safe." "I will mom." I shut the door as I see Finn outside his car waiting for me. His smile grew as he saw me. I smiled as well as I walked towards him. I watched him open the car door for me as I got closer. "Thanks," I said as I sat down in his car. "No problem."
She watched as he sat down in his car beside her. "Ready to go?" Finn said as he wrapped his seat belt from his shoulder and around his torso. I nodded as I watched him put his hands on the wheel. He put his foot on the gas pedal.
Finn's POV
It was pretty quiet during the car ride. I'm just guessing that none of us had anything to say...is that normal? When you see your best friend after many years, you just don't know anything to talk about. I knew I had to tell her what I've been doing these past years, but I thought she would probably judge.
