Metaphorical cricket sounds could be heard around this time. This is to help set the scene of the intense stare-down unfolding. Two guys, brought together by strange circumstances, now stand face to face. If someone were to pass by, it may look as though Oliver is guarding Felix's house from the danger that is Chan.

But is Chan the real danger here?

"This is Felix's house, is it not?" Chan asks as he nods his head towards the house behind the seeming-to-be-gatekeeper.

"Yeah. So why are you here?" Oliver replies bitterly.

"I'm his friend. I came to see Felix so if you don't mind moving..." He waits for Oliver to move, but he doesn't budge. His eyes remain on Chan.

"I don't see why you're here to see him though. He never talks about you." Oliver crosses his arms. Chan is hurt by these words, but he finds that it's to be expected. There was no need for Felix to mention him if he were nothing but a bad memory.

"From what I can tell, he doesn't want to see you."

He's right. Felix has no reason to see me. But...

"You're probably right, but I really don't care. I want to apologize for everything I've done." He lowers his head as he speaks, only to lift it again to stare Oliver in the eyes once more.

"Sorry to break it to you, but Felix doesn't want to hear your apology. You should just leav-" As Oliver talks on, Chan swerves around him and makes a break for the door.

"Hey! What the fuck!" Chan rings the door bell, hoping that Felix answers before Oliver runs over to him.

——

"Finally..." Felix exhales after Oliver leaves. All alone again.

"Now onto planning how to change schools. Ha..." Said as a joke, but it was sounding pretty damn good now. He'd be able to escape the embarrassing moments he had encountered at this school. For a short while at least.

"Who am I kidding... it would never work out. Mom would ask why I want to switch. The people at the new school would take a day to figure me out. Then everything would repeat itself." Felix slides his back down the fridge.

I really hate people...

Felix runs his hands through his hair, reminding him of his bandaged hands.

Great...

Not wanting to think anymore, Felix sits on the ground with his head resting against his knees. There's a limit to how much you can stress over something before you feel as though your brain has gone to mush. All that's left inside is just static noise. For Felix it's normal at this point. But he always tries to push through it. Life goes on. Whether he liked it or not.

Ding Dong~

Felix raises his head up, not too thrilled by the sound of the door bell. Reluctantly, he stands up to go towards the door. Thinking it may be his mom, he doesn't exactly think about who it is. Maybe Oliver again? He opens the door without much enthusiasm.

"Felix! Hi..."

"Chan..."
