"AHHHHH! HAHHHHHH!" Felix yells in a loud and hoarse voice, chucking a pillow off his bed. He made it home eventually after lapping the block a few times. He went straight to his room once he got home. The thing he wanted to do was collapse in embarrassment, but at the same time he wanted to yell and break things out of anger. He wonders why he's so angry. He shouldn't have expected anything more or less from his peers but what they had just done.
"AHHH! GODDAMMIT!" He grabs a glass that was sitting on his bedside table and throws it to the ground. It smashes on the wooden floor and scatters around him.
"Shit..." Now crouching, he collects the broken pieces in his bare hands. Forgetting he was just in the middle of a sort of yelling contest with himself.
This is like all the other times pictures of me have been circulated around the school, except I feel more upset this time. I'll still have to go to school on Monday...
He continues picking up the sharp pieces in his hand.
I bet they'll have a field day. Seeing me walking in as they hold the video up on their phones. Thinking that I don't know what they're all talking about.
His grip on the shards tightens.
They'll all laugh as I walk to my classes. Looking at me like some dead man walking.
Felix holds the glass firmly.
It'll be so unbearable that I'll want to disappear and break down. The sound of their laughter will be so disgusting that I'll just want to grab onto one of their necks and-
"Felix! You upstairs?" Someone calls out.
"Wha- Oh shit." Felix gasps out of surprise and looks down. He sees blood in his hands.
"What the hell?" He quickly gets up to clean his hands off in the bathroom.
Who the hell's here??
The voice wasn't that of his mothers. It was a guys voice. Felix thinks he knows who it is, but why would he be in his house?
Rushing into the bathroom, Felix throws the glass bits into the garbage can. He closes the door and runs some cold water over his open wounds. Only now after rinsing them does he feel the cuts stinging; so much so that he winces in pain. He dries them before blood starts to run again and gets some bandages.
"Felix? You in here?" Hearing a knock on the door, Felix quickly wraps his hands up and pulls his sweater sleeves over them. He opens the bathroom door to be met with a familiar face.
"Jesus Christ Oliver. What are you doing here?" He sees the taller male standing in front of him.
"Hey. I wanted to see if you're alright."
"I'm fine. You shouldn't have come here. How did you even get in?" Felix looks around as if looking for possible entry ways.
"Oh, your front door was unlocked."
"It was? Oh." Felix scratches his upper brow in confusion. He could have sworn he locked it.
"Anyway, that doesn't matter. You really shouldn't have come in without telling me. I could've been in the shower or something."
"Yeah I'll remember for next time. Sorry." Felix walks past Oliver to go downstairs, Oliver following behind.
"Sorry, I just thought you'd want to be with someone right now." They walk into the kitchen. Oliver leans on the counter while Felix opens the fridge, pretending to look for a snack. In actuality, he just didn't want to look at Oliver. He wanted to hide. Even if he knew that Oliver wouldn't make fun of him, he felt an uncontrollable sense of embarrassment.
"Thanks but I don't really wanna be with anyone right now."
That was a lie.
"I'm fine."
That was also a lie.
"If you say so. Just know that I'll be here when anything bad happens, okay? You can come to me when things like that happen." Felix looks back at him and Oliver smiles. He should be glad to know that Oliver's here for him, but he just isn't when he sees Oliver smile. Because of this, he feels guilty.
"Thanks..." He closes the fridge doors.
You're such a brat, Felix. Unappreciative. Selfish. Good for nothing.
Felix lets out a sigh. A weight piles on his shoulders which makes him want to sink onto the floor. He visibly slouches his shoulders and grips the fridge handles tightly. The strength in his legs starts to fade and his hands on the fridge are all that hold him.
"Felix, what happened to your hands?" Oliver places his hand on Felix's arm.
"I'm fine!" He yells as he spins around to hit Oliver's hand.
"Sorry... I just... please just leave." Felix rubs his left arm with his hand and looks down.
"Sure. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then for lunch. I'll be here at 2."
"Okay."
Oliver stands there for another few seconds before he walks away to the front door. He opens the door and before he leaves, he turns around.
"Bye Felix."
"Bye..."
Fuck.

Huff... huff... huff...
"I finally... fucking... made it..." Chan says between pants.
Chan had finally managed to find his way to Felix's house. He had gotten a bit lost after his phone died. He made it there purely by instinct.
"I'm actually here. Now what?" He has his hands on his knees. Bent over while trying to catch his breath.
At this point, Chan really didn't have a plan. He didn't think he'd have to search further than the school, let alone go to Felix's house. Obviously he couldn't just show up to Felix's house uninvited without looking crazy or stalker-ish. There was no proper explanation that he could tell Felix. All he could say is that he needed to see the freckled boy. Even if that meant running around his neighbourhood looking for his house.
Jesus, I sound legitimately like a stalker.
"Bye Felix."
Huh?
Chan looks up to see some guy coming out of Felix's house. He walks down the driveway and stops. They make eye contact.
"Who are you?" Chan stands up straight. He doesn't even think before he blurts it out. The guy walks closer to Chan until they're facing each other. He crosses his arms and looks Chan up and down. He lets out a small chuckle.
"Wouldn't you like to know."
