As The Days Go On

I woke up around 5 to the sound of something falling upstairs. I smile at Adrian looking so cute sleeping peacefully. I head upstairs to see who it is and it's Brittany she notices me and starts apologizing for waking me I say it fine and I go to the bathroom and come back to see if she needs any help she say no but ask if I will get the kids ready in an hour she's making breakfast I agree and go back to my room. Once awake I can't go back to sleep so I just sit and watch Adrian sleep like a little creep while listening to music. About 30 minutes pass and he starts to wake up a big smile comes across my face and I say good morning sleepy head and he smiles and says good morning. Then notices that I'm wide awake and ask how long I've been watching him sleep. I laugh and say stop making me out to be a stalker creep I looked at you for about fifteen to twenty minutes. He smiles and disappears and comes back with clothes and tells me give him ten he's about to shower. So I go and pick out all the kids outfits and then I helped set the table then went and brushed my teeth and washed my face I'm pretty sure I'm wearing my hair the same just gonna to comb it out so it'll lay flat I think I'll dress decent today. The kids go back to the kitchen to eat and I say I'll be back and I come back to my phone to Adrian just out the shower In a towel brushing his hair I don't say anything. I just sit there for a moment then he goes you must like the view. I laugh a little and say well it's mine you bet I do. He smiles and gets dressed and I walk back to eat and tell him I'll see him at school and hang up. We sit down and eat and talk for a little before everyone starts to head out. I go down to find and outfit and do my hair. I'm listening to music and then it stops someones calling me I look over and it's Mia FaceTiming me so I answered while putting my last earring in and she goes ok I see you getting cute I laugh and say so you think I'm ugly the rest of the time? She rolls her eyes and say whatever back to why I called you... you wanna pick me up before heading to school. I say sure that I'll be there in 15. I get up and grab a dress and jean jacket out the closet.

I throw on my shoes and head out the door to pick up Mia. I pull up in front of her house and she's sitting on the porch and she opens the house door and yells something then heads to the car. She gets in and disconnects my phone to connect hers. I just shake my head she does not like my taste in music. We pull into the school and I just park and sit there she gets out and goes in. Then the door opens back up and Adrian slides in the seat were talking and I just say I really don't want to go to school today wanna skip the entire day. He's silent for a moment and he goes well if you're down then I'm down I smile and think to myself we're such bad a influence on each other. I back out my spot and ask him where we are going to go for the day. He smiles and says want to grab something to eat and go to our favorite spot? I nod my head yes and we go grab tons of snacks and drinks and head that way. We get there and pull out two blankets one to lay on and one to cover up it's a little windy and I'm wearing a dress we set up the laptop and snack and we lay back and watch movies for what seems like hours and I get really sleepy we watched one last movie and went to his apartment to wash the blankets and make some food but instead I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to my phone ringing and it was my manager I wasn't going to answer but I decided to see what's up I hadn't been there since school started back. I pick up the phone and she's telling me they hired some new people because the other two girls transferred and was offering me to train them and I'd get higher pay. I collect myself and ask when she wants to start training and she today around 6 that's when they come in to train them the last four hours. I agree to doing it and hang up. I look around and the house dark the only light I see is from the blinds letting in light outside. I go to the bathroom and start to look around and see that he's not there. I look at the clock it's only three thirty schools not out I slept for about three hours.  I go back to the living room and turn on the tv there's nothing on so I turn it back off. I love the quiet so I just sit there thinking about my future. About twenty minutes pass and I hear the front door open I walk towards the door it's Adrian with food and Andrea right behind him. I smile and greet her and the first thing she says is why you sitting here in the dark I'm pretty sure my brother paid the electric bill I laugh and say well I woke up with the lights off and it was a comfortable silence so I just sat here thinking. She turns on the kitchen light and sits trays of food on the table and Andrea brings in the drinks and he says thanks and she heads out. I ask him where all he had been and he said to pick up his bike and go get some food I smile and say well I would have taken you why didn't you just wake me up? You looked so peaceful sleeping we skipped school to relax and I just wanted to bring you back food. I look down there's one tray and some little containers next to it and I open it up to see some Spanish rice two quesadillas and some salsa on the side was sour cream and some beans. I didn't even know I was hungry until my stomach started growling we ate in silence finished up and grabbed some water and sat on the couch for a little I tell him I have to go in to work at six. I've got about forty five minutes so we're just watching tv one episode of The rain and I was headed to work. I grabbed my jacket I play a few trap songs before getting there to hype myself up a little bit because I feel like these four hours gonna drag. I park and sit and finish my song then I go in and the store manager smile and says their in the break room waiting and I also have good news for you and Sasha. That's for a later time when you're both on shift so it'll be next week sometime when it happens. I walk back towards the break room and she yells this is just the first set of hires there will be another set next week. I walk into the break room it's a guy and three girls. Out of the three girls Jennifer is there smiling and I'm like hey and then I greet everyone else and give them the run down. time speeds away I send them off and close up shop and head home I text Adrain and let him know I make it to the house. Then I get ready for bed. I wake up the next morning and look at the clock it's five and then I realized what day it was time seems to slow down it's getting closer and closer to the day their mom went missing. I'm planning to let them do some kind of ballon release and go to her grave or something simple It hurts to see them hurt but I didn't really know her as a person. Get up and get ready for the day it's Thursday and tomorrow they will miss school and just chill out. The thee older kids understand but I know the younger ones won't. I grab my stuff and head out the door I get to school to see Adrain eating a burrito waiting at the steps for me I walk up and just take me a bite and keep going he laughs and goes well damn that's fucked up didn't even get a good morning no nothing just ate my food and kept going. I turned around and said well I'm hurt you didn't even bring me one. He smiles and said well I did but Ive gotta take my bite back first. I smile and say fine take two because you're cute he hands it to me and says I would never I smile and eat my burrito say thank you and we walk to my locker in the way to my class I tell him we've got to go grocery shopping so that I can make the kids breakfast tomorrow and that they were missing school to do some stuff for their moms death. His face softens and he says you know she was your mom too I instantly get mad and walk off I can hear him calling my name but I don't want to hear it. I go to my class and just sit in the seat not listing to anything planning to avoid him the rest of the day. He knows how I feel about the situation and constantly says shit like that. I don't see him till lunch anyway so I'm good class goes on I go to the rest of my classes and leave my last class five minutes early cause I'm going to have lunch with Sasha. I text her and let her know that I'm on my way. Take the short drive and pull up to her school and wait by her car the bell rings and she comes out and we go to five guys and get a burger and then go to bushes to get tea and fries then we head to the park to eat. We finish up eating and we're talking about what happened and leave it to her to always tell me right even when I want her to agree with me. She's telling me that I should hear him out and that she actually agrees with him even tho she wasn't a parent to you as a child that was still my biological mother and she knows that it hurts the way she treated me but she also knows it hurts that she's gone.  The crazy thing is it's true because there's a small piece of me that thought things would be different and would turn around and she would actually want to be a mother to me. We both get silent and she says it okay I know it's hard and she says just hear him out because at the end of the day he was there for you when it all went down.  She looks behind me and it's Adrain I turn back around to give her a look and she has already gotten up and was walking away mouthing I love you too. I rolled my eyes and sat there I was still kind of mad but really I wasn't. He's standing there and says Jazmyne please look at me. I just don't want to because I know everything Sasha just said was nothing but the truth. So I turn around and he says I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you and he takes my hand and I just automatically cry because I'm not even mad I'm just hurt. He just hugs me and I let it all out for a moment. I calm down and we sit and talk for a little then we go our separate ways he heads back to the school and I go to Sasha car so I can pick up mine. We get in and I say thank you and then ask how she knew before I even told her what happened and she laughed and was like girl he text me soon as you didn't text him back by the 3rd class he said he figured that you were gonna come to me. I laugh because he knows me well enough to know where I was gonna go. I've got like ten minutes to make it back to the school I tell Sasha bye and head back to the school. I'm in a better mood and think about the shopping list I need to make I get to the school and head to my class we're doing a group project but my partners not here so I write out my grocery list and write down some more stuff for the project. It's pretty simple we had to research one person from history and make a trifold board presentation on them. The bell rings as I finish up then I go to my next class the class with Adrian and I sit down next to him and just chill while they explain some stuff then I tell him about the grocery list and what all we need to pick up the bell rings we go our separate ways to the last class we're just filling out a study guide for a test on Monday. The bell rings and I head to the parking lot Adrian follows me to the house I drop my car off and we go to the grocery store we get stuff to make. I had to get Texas toast and strawberries to make French toast I grab some blueberries and other fruit for the side and some bacon then some orange juice and coffee we check out and head back to the house lee unload the groceries and then Adrian tells me he'll be over tomorrow around eight to help cook. I tell him bye and go down to my room to prep the talking point for my presentation and to prep the stuff for the new workers. I pull out my phone and text Sasha.

Me- Hey do you work Monday

Bestfriend💚🤞🏽🥰- Yes she called me and told me she put down for me to come in. Why?

Me- I was just wondering she said she had some good news for us and we had to be on the same schedule for her to tell us and I go in at four to train the new workers Monday.

Bestfriend💚🤞🏽🥰- Okay I go in at five so I'll see you then.

I get ready for bed and prepare for tomorrow. I honestly think it's going to be a long day.
