Hunt

(Present time)

-Mom! Why don't you let me hunt?!

Jimin asked for what seemed to be the hundredth time already. His mother sighed with an exasperated look.

-Honey you're an Omega...you're not supposed to hunt. And even if you weren't, you seem to forget why I forbid you to go to the forest in the first place. It's not safe for you...

Jimin almost wanted to rip his hair out. Anger rising inside of his chest without his own consent.

- Mom It's been fourteen years and you're still on repeat! I'm 20 now! I should be able to decide on my own! And if this story is true, if there's really a "monstruous" Alpha like you say...don't you think he needs help. Don't you know how hurt he must be?! Do you have any idea how it feels to lose everything at such a young age? And an Omega? That's all you can find really? If you think I'm really that weak just tell me.

Jimin was almost tearing up at the end of his speach. He turned around, ignoring the way his mother seemed to want to say something and just walked away not wanting to fight over this anymore.

His mother just stayed there on her spot. a single tear rolling down her cheek.

- I knew you were gonna become an amazing man...never knew you'd become so strong...

No one was there to hear her but she still smiled. Her son was such a strong man.

Jimin felt bad. He was really upset, but he knew his mother only wanted to protect him. He knew just how much she loved him. Only wanting the absolute best for him. But sometimes he felt like she could be a bit more understanding of what he felt. Sometimes he wished she would give him some slack. He was 20 after all. His father has been hunting in this very same forest since he was 18 and he always came back alive. If this was really true than this Alpha wasn't as bad as they all claimed.

- So you fought again?

His friend Taehyung asked with an unreadable expression. Jimin nodded shamefully.

Taehyung and Jimin were best friends since almost ten years already. Tae was an Omega too. Jimin liked to call him his alien most of the time due to his weird but amazing personality. Taehyung knew how much his friend dreamed of going to the forest and honestly he didn't really get why but he still understood his friend's frustration.

- Oh darling...come here.

Taehyung opened his arms in invitation and Jimin crawled into the hug without hesitation. 

- Do you think it's true?

Jimin asked from his place in the crook of Tae's neck. Inhaling his fruity scent in a calming way.

- What?

- The story...The big bad wolf you know...

Taehyung chuckled at his friend's reference.

-Honestly, I don't know and I'm not sure if I really want to know...I'm pretty sure part of it is true, but I know parts of the story must not be true. Like the part about him killing everyone in the forest. I know loads of people that hunt in there and all of them are still intact and alive.

Jimin sighed loudly.

-Is it crazy to want to help him? Or to simply want the truth?

Taehyung's hand landed on his head. slowly caressing his head.

-You're not crazy...just too kind for your own good.
