Taehyung was still in shock when they started walking back out of the forest.

-Jimin?
He asked with a still shaky voice.

-hmm?

-Do you...? Do you like this alpha?

Jimin looked away with a slight blush.

- I-I don't like him. Well not really...I just think he's interesting or more like fascinating. And I don't know why but I just feel so connected to him for some reason. I must sound absolutely crazy Taetae but I feel like I need to see him again.
The more Jimin talked the more questions were forming in his own head.

Why was he feeling like that? Why was the alpha so obedient to him? Why did his eyes turn golden when he saw him?

- wow uhmm, I really don't understand anything that just happened but...why? Why did he listen to you is still my biggest question. Did you lie to me? Did you see him before? I just really don't know what to think of all of this. I think I need some rest.
The other omega spoke with confusion.

- Well yeah I saw him before but only in my dreams...and I wasn't even completely sure he really existed before today.

Unbeknownst to the both of them, curious, shy golden eyes were watching their every movement from behind a tree not so far from there...

Ever since that night, days ago, Jimin didn't stop having dreams about the mysterious alpha. But unlike the first ones, these dreams were nothing less than peaceful.

It almost always started at this exact same place, where they met in real life. Jimin wasn't really part of the dreams...it was like he was watching the story unfold before his eyes. In contrast to the horrifying sight he was used to seeing from the usually aggressive alpha, in these scenarios the alpha seemed innocent, shy, even harmless. Jimin could see what little things could make the other boy happy or sad. What made him feel safe or insecure. He could feel the emotions passing through the boy's eyes like they were his own. Jimin was learning so much but still didn't understand what it all meant. And these wide, scared golden eyes were still on his mind from the first time they met.

Thus he decided to talk to his mother about some things...

It was the evening, seven days after Taehyung and Jimin's forest adventure when the boy brought up the subject to his mother.

- Eomma?

His mother looked down at him from where she was sitting at his side. Seeing her son's conflicted expression, her gaze softened.

- what's wrong Jiminie?
She asked softly.

- Do you know what having golden eyes mean? Does it mean something special?

His mother's expression turned to shock in a second.

- Why do you ask?
She looked at him suspiciously.

Jimin was even more curious now. What could it mean if it made his mother so nervous?

- Oh I'm just curious...It's just that Taehyung told me a story and in the story, it happened when two people looked at each other. When I asked him what it meant after, he told me I'd have to ask you...
Jimin lied without hesitation.

His mother's face visibly lost some of its shock at that.

- oh...well in that case I'll tell you...

Jimin turned to face her, giving her all of his attention.

- well you see, this is very, very rare. But usually, when people's eyes meet and their eyes turn golden, it means that they are true mates.

Jimin's eyes turned wide and his face drained of all its colors.

- Normally, people mate and only then they're connected for life...but in this case, they're already connected through an extremely strong bond. I heard that when they're away from each other, they are somehow still able to feel each other's emotions and even sometimes have visions.
You know pup, I think it's really everyone's dream to have someone like that...bit it's so rare, that hoping is just useless.

When she was done she looked back down at her son that now had glossy eyes, a pale face, and a shocked expression.

- True mates?!
