The forest

The morning after Jimin's dream, the Omega woke up sweating an unusual lot. He was panting and his voice was hoarse when he tried to speak. The memories of the earlier dreams resurfacing rapidly sending shivers down his spine. The Alpha he had seen. He knew it was the one from the legend...but why did he look so damn familiar. Why did it feel like Jimin had seen him somewhere in the past...

The dream ended up coming back more than Jimin liked to admit. The scenarios changing everytime, but the alpha, the same mysterious Alpha kept coming back every time. And the dreams always ended with the boy's piercing gaze meeting his and the same unknown feelings coursing through Jimin's body.

Jimin's parents were starting to worry about him. They clearly saw the way their son was acting weird and kept looking away through the small windows in the direction of what they hoped was not the forest. And they surely saw the way their son seemed to have an agitated sleep these days at the way he looked in the morning and the now almost purple eye bags he was porting.

The days went on like this until Jimin just couldn't do it anymore. He was so tired but just so curious at the same time. He wanted the dreams to stop but weirdly he wanted to keep seeing this mysterious alpha so bad. So he decided he would act on it. He talked to Taehyung about it. At first he absolutely rejected the idea...but in the end he knew it was the only way to get his best friend to be happy.

The both of them were around a fire when he brought up the idea.

-Tae I wanna talk to you about something...
He had begun with.

- what is it Jiminie?

- Well you know the alpha from the story?...

Taehyung hummed at that.

- I think I saw him...

- You what?!
He almost shouted with wide eyes.

- in my dreams...

Tae sighed loudly in relief at that and glared at Jimin for scaring the shit out of him.

- How would you even know it's him? You've never seen him before I don't understand.

- I just know it's him that's all. There's no way I'm wrong on this. But I'm just so tired and these dreams keep coming back every night. So I was wondering if...

- I already know where this is going and no. You're not going to the forest and that's it.
Taehyung stated with a final tone but Jimin still tried.

- But taetae if I go just for a bit to reassure myself that he's not there and that the forest isn't like the one in my dreams. Just like five minutes that's all it'll take. Maybe that'll make the dreams stop do you understand? I'm just so tired Taehyungie...

Taehyung could feel the desperate pheromones rolling off his best friend's body in waves, and he felt guilty.

-But Jiminie what would I do if something happened to you! I'd feel so guilty. You know I'd blame myself forever for it.

- Nothing's gonna happen I promise! He's not dangerous! I swear!
Jimin had tears clinging to his eyelashes.

-Do you even hear what you're saying Jimin?!

-I know-I know this just sounds crazy to you Taehyungie I know...but trust me please...just this once. Just for five minutes and I'll come back I promise.

Taehyung sighed at his friend's stubbornness.

- Fine...

- Really?!
Jimin's eyes were full of hope and Taehyung just couldn't resist those sad puppy eyes.

- yes but stop asking or I'll change my answer.

-oh my God thank you so much taetae!
Jimin jumped out of his seat to crash onto Taehyung excitedly.

And that's when Taehyung knew he had lost the fight...
