Days later at the village, Jungkook and Jimin were hanging out with Jin who'd promised them on their dinner around the fire the other day to teach them how to make the pretty earrings he sold in his small boutique. Jungkook had told him the first time they'd met how beautiful he found his earrings and the older man couldn't help but to brag about the fact that he was the one and only creator of them. It had everyone in the room laughing, including the boy himself. They were at the moment learning to do just that in said boutique with the help of Jin's expert teaching. "You just need to flatten the stopper like that so that the pretty beads don't fall off the earring." He explained carefully, watching as Jungkook somewhat struggled to flatten the metal stopper properly. Jimin was laughing softly from beside him, watching him struggle adorably. He'd never seen him so focused on something before. His pout was out full force and his eyebrows were furrowed in the cutest frustration.

After another few minutes of struggling, Jungkook finally managed to put the last stopper and let out a sigh of relief. "Wait, your ears aren't pierced Jungkook? How are you gonna wear these then? Would you like to get your ears pierced?" Jungkook looked up at Jin with unsure eyes. "Actually, I thought I would gift these to Minnie, I've never really considered getting my ears pierced. Not that I wouldn't like to, now that I think about it, it would be really nice to have them pierced, but doesn't it really hurt?" Jin chuckled from his place in front of them. "The pain is really nothing I'm telling you. Ask Jimin, I pierced his ears a couple of years ago." Jungkook's eyes turned to look at his omega, who was still holding the earrings he'd made himself. "It's true, he said, I didn't even feel the first one. I would say that what's the most difficult when getting your ears pierced is the aftercare, and even that isn't that hard. You just have to make sure to remember to disinfect your earrings every day, and usually, that's it." Jungkook nodded at the information, now actually considering it. "I'll think about it. When I'll be sure I'll come see you hyung." Jin smiled at his answer, fluffing up his hair sweetly.

After a while, the couple left Jin's boutique to go eat lunch at Jimin's parents' house. While walking, a question popped into Jungkook's mind and he suddenly had to ask. "Minnie?" the boy hummed back in response. "You know, the rumors about me, how did they start?" Jimin was thoughtful for a while, he was unsure as well. "My mother first told me about you when I was six, but back then, she said that the story started twenty years ago...when I think about it this way, that would make you really old. " The realization somewhat downed onto Jimin and he stopped to stare at Jungkook incredulously. "Did you ever tell me your actual age? You can't be that old right? It doesn't make sense?" Jungkook rushed to answer, seeing Jimin's expression change again. "I swear I'm not that old Minnie, I'm only twenty one, of what I know anyways look!" In his rush to try and prove his point, Jungkook took off his shoe and lifted his bare foot to show Jimin. Jimin let out a terrified gasp. "What? What's wrong?" "Jungkook, who did this to you?!" On the bottom of Jungkook's foot was a date, a day a month and a year. The date had clearly been burned into his skin a very long time ago. "Wait...not everyone has this? It's true now that I think about it I've never seen one on you." Jungkook lowered his foot with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Jungkook people don't have their birth dates burned onto them baby! If someone did this to you, it was your parents...I'm sorry." Jimin hugged him. He didn't even know why he felt sorry for something that happened so long ago, but the disturbing thought of parents being capable of doing such things to their child was horrible to him. Jungkook hugged him back softly. "It's okay, It's not that surprising to me anymore you know..." Jimin nodded into his skin. "Wait, but then I don't understand, it makes even less sense now. When my mother said it was twenty years ago, you were only what? Like 7 years old? Then who started the damn rumor? And who the heck got attacked? I swear this story is making my head ache." Jungkook's eyes were unfocused as he thought. He really didn't get it either, but then it clicked. "The only people who could have invented my story...the only ones who knew how to make it seem realistic would be the ones who did it right? Probably the only ones who then knew about me...my parents huh?" Jimin's mouth hung open at the thought. This made sense. "I swear if these people are still roaming around the village, acting as if they'd never done anything as awful as they did. Acting as if they'd been the damn first victims of a 7 year old child they themselves abandoned in the woods!" Jimin's voice was getting louder, Jungkook had never heard it that deep either. His eyes were shining with a red rage Jungkook had only seen once...When his own father had tried to attack Jungkook. The alpha put his hands on his lover's shoulders, letting out calming pheromones to let his omega know that he had no need to get so frustrated. "Come on now Minnie. Let's calm down a bit. We'll ask your parents later if they know any more than you on the first people to talk about this story okay?" Jimin breathed in and out deeply one or two times, nodding his head softly before hugging Jungkook again. This feeling inside of them. The feeling that this was not over and that they would have to face this reality again soon was scary. It was scary, but Jimin wanted to get the justice his lover deserved no matter how scary it would be.
