Jungkook took a deep breath in. This was going to be a very important moment to determine how Jimin's father would accept their relationship in the future. He wanted to be completely accepted by his lover's family. He knew it would take a bit, but he hoped it would happen someday. Jimin's fist hit the wooden door as his other hand held Jungkook's in an attempt at trying to comfort him. The door opened only seconds later to Jimin's mother, the scent of freshly cooked food emerging from the hut. As soon as Jungkook saw the woman's figure, He bowed down to a close to ninety degree angle. Jimin looked at him with a shocked smile as his mother took in the seen with wide eyes. She recovered from her initial shock as the kind alpha pulled himself back up. Jimin greeted his mother with a small smile and squeezed his alpha's hand for him to do the same thing. "Hello, it's very nice to meet you again under better circumstances. Sorry for the sudden visit miss. Jimin thought it would be the right time for us to introduce ourselves rightfully." Jimin's mother had a small smile playing at the side of her lips at how polite the alpha was being. This was by far one of the most well-behaved young alphas she'd seen. "It's very nice to meet you as well Jungkook. Come in, the both of you. We were soon going to serve dinner, so you're very welcome to keep us company for the evening." They entered the house after Jimin's mother let them in and Jungkook could only thank her. Jimin led Jungkook to the living room by the hand. He knew his father was probably sitting there while waiting for dinner to be ready. His mother was following them closely from behind. As Jimin's father saw Jungkook in his living room, his eyes widened only to darken immediately after. Jungkook bowed down immediately, a full ninety degrees at that. The older man's eyes widened even more and he raised his eyebrows in confusion at the respect he was suddenly shown. Jungkook pulled himself back up and his eyes met the other man's. He tried to show through his gaze just how harmless he was. "Hello mister, It is nice to meet you again. I am Jungkook, your lovely son's lover. We came here today because we believe it is due for us two to introduce ourselves properly and in respect. If you agree, of course, I would like to reassure you two of my complete devotion to your son and his well-being. " Jungkook didn't know where most of his words came from, but he was trying his best to push through his nervousness to gain points with his delicate speech. Jimin's father stared at the alpha in surprise. The boy's cheeks were lightly flushed in embarrassment and it had the older man wondering if he'd ever seen this expression on an alpha's face, a pure bred at that... He shook the surprise out of his face. He wasn't going to let his guard down so easily. As Jimin saw the change of expression on his father's face, he knew Jungkook had done a good job. He couldn't hide the proud smile on his lips as he gushed over how adorable his alpha was being in his head. He knew the boy could probably feel it and he couldn't care less. "I will allow you to spend the evening with us this once. I will decide after that whether I believe you're harmless enough. " This was what Jimin liked to call a win. He squeezed his lover's hand reassuringly, telling him he did a good job. Jimin's mother cut the silence that followed Jungkook's silent thank you with the announce that the dinner was ready. Jimin led Jungkook to the table in a different room and sat him down at his side as Jimin's mother sat on the other side and his father at the end of the wooden table. The food was distributed beautifully on the table and Jungkook was surprised at how much there actually was. "Thank you for the food" He voiced out truthfully at Jimin's mother and received a kind smile in return. Jimin's hand slid onto his thigh as he served food with the other into Jungkook's plate. Jungkook thanked him softly right after and so they all began eating. The questions soon began and Jungkook found himself somewhat telling his whole life in the course of a simple meal. Jimin's father just silently took in the information and found himself surprised at everything that the boy had to go through. In his uncontrolled anger, he'd forgotten to even try to understand, and now he found that it was hard to keep himself completely unfazed at the boy's story. Somewhere around the end of the meal, Jungkook looked at his side to look at Jimin and saw a small patch of sauce on the side of his bottom lip. He found it absolutely adorable and mindlessly wiped it with his thumb before bringing it to his own lips with a sweet smile as he saw the way the beautiful omega's cheeks turned red. That was the moment that had Jimin's father the most speechless on that night. The look on Jungkook's face as he smiled. The soft golden accents in his eyes as they met Jimin's in a loving gaze. The way his son was looking at the moment. He'd never seen him this genuinely happy before. He almost had to question himself again over how this man could have been the same as in all of these horror stories. When the two lovers left that night, Jimin's father was relatively silent. He kept his mouth shut except for the small greeting that left his lips when they'd left. As the door closed behind them, Jimin's mother turned to the silent man. "Aren't you so silent suddenly? He's lovely isn't he? Don't even try to tell me you didn't find him kind. He tried so hard to impress you. If I was him, I'd have stayed mad at you for wayyyy longer..." she spoke as she got closer to the man, laying her head on his shoulder softly. "He does seem like a better person than I previously thought..." The man admitted with something close to guilt on the tip of his tongue.
