I wake up the next morning to someone banging on my door. "Onyx wake up. We need to leave in one hour, make sure you have everything." My mother says before leaving. I run a hand through my hair to get it off my face, before taking my glasses off my bedside table. I wipe them clean and slide them on, noticing the time was 7:15am, and I smile widely. Today was the day. Today was the day I finally joined Hogwarts and learnt everything I could. I throw my covers off and quickly make my bed, before grabbing my towels and heading to my bathroom. I turn the water on and brush my teeth as it warms up. I hum along to a tune in my head that helped me keep focused on my task at hand. Once I finish brushing, I head into the shower, leaving my glasses on the sink. I close my eyes and let the hot water run over me as I think. "You're not going to become Draco. You won't become like the rest of your family, no matter how much people think you will." I recite to myself as I take my shower.
I finish up my morning routine, before changing into some black jeans and a button down shirt, folding my remaining clothes and putting them in my suitcase. I take my acceptance letter and fold it into my jacket pocket, checking the list to ensure I had everything, before closing my suitcase and setting it up right. I reach over and pick up my backpack, checking it had my wand and text books in it before zipping that up and slinging it over my shoulder. I take my suitcase by the handle and carry it downstairs, setting it by the door, rolling my eyes at the amount of bags Draco had, even though he had the same list as me, just with different books. Chuckling slightly as Mother pandered to Draco I head towards the kitchen to make myself some breakfast, taking another look around the manor. I check the time and see we have 20 minutes until we need to leave, already knowing Mother and Father would stay with Draco the entire time, leaving me free to enjoy my breakfast. I smile to myself as I lean against the counter with my bowl of cereal. As I eat I listen to the things Mother and Father were telling Draco. "You'll be incredible Draco; just don't forget what we taught you. I know you'll be great this year; the Dark Lord will be so pleased with how far you've come over the past few years. You're almost ready for you first mission." Father says and I hear my mother sniffle, causing me to roll my eyes. I finish my breakfast listening to the stuff they were telling him, before cleaning my bowl and putting it away. I re-adjust my jacket as I walk over to grab my things and carry them to the car, while my father moves Draco's belongings.
I load them into the back of the car, moving Draco's belongings as well since Father had left them at the back of the car. Once everything was packed away safely, I close the book and get into my normal seat, buckling in and leaning back, watching the world pass by out of the window. My father checks that we have everything before he tells the driver to begin. The car starts up and we drive out of the drive causing me to smile slightly. Mother and Father talk to Draco the entire ride, leaving me to think to myself about what my future could hold. "Oh, and Onyx?" my father asks causing me to look at him. "Yeah?" I ask confused as to why he wanted to talk to me. "Just don't embarrass us. You won't be a Slytherin, so don't make too many mistakes and ruin our family name." He says and I nod, turning back to the window as I run a hand through my hair. The drive continues as they talk amongst themselves, leaving me out of the conversations, just the way I liked it as I despised what they spoke about. A few moments later we arrive at the station and I take our belongings out of the boot and head inside, leaving my parents with Draco to say their goodbyes. I walk into Kings Cross Station and put my belongings on a trolley, heading to the right platform.
I take a deep breath watching as the large family from Diagon Alley head into the wall that joins Platform 9 to Platform 10, smiling softly as the same girl from before turn and look at me. She smiles back briefly before following her family. I chuckle slightly to myself and run into the wall as well, appearing at Platform 9 ¾ shortly after. I look around seeing all the other students and families saying their goodbyes. Pushing my trolley to the right place, I leave it with a conductor before turning to head inside the train, being stopped my Draco, Crabbe and Goyle. I let out a deep breath and look at him. "You will not ruin my reputation at Hogwarts Onyx. I may be related to you but I don't want to be. Stay away from me and don't let anyone know about your stupid opinions." He hisses and I nod. He smirks as he looks at me before leaving the other two. I sigh and run a hand through my hair before getting on the back of the train into an empty cart.
