The first class of the year was always nerve racking. I've been at Hogwarts for 4 years now and I still get lost around the castle. As I look around remembering the way to go I look down at the book I was currently reading, listening to the conversations Luna and Tommy had as they walked besides me. They were the only people I had, and I didn't get to spend much time with them. Luna had became friends with Harry Potter and the Weasleys. As I expected, Ron wouldn't let Ginny anywhere near me since I was a Malfoy. We had seen each other in our classes and we spoke then but other than that we had no contact. It was disheartening but I'd grown to accept it. Walking along the corridor I smile softly as I see Tommy and Luna interacting with other students, people respected them. They hold different conversations all personal and meaningful as they walk. Soon enough they reach their classrooms and leave, meaning I was alone again. As I walk down the long corridor leading towards the potions classrooms, I hear people talking around me. Mutters of things I had heard before.

"That's Draco's brother. I wonder if he's a death eater too." They whisper and I roll my eyes. It had been the same whispers for 4 years and they got old very quickly. I was more than just Draco's brother, but nobody wanted to get to know me to understand. I ignore them as I continue walking, my head filling with thoughts and intrusive memories that I try to ignore. A few moments later I bump into someone, causing me to drop my books. I bite my lip and quickly reach down to collect them, also picking up whatever the other person had dropped and holding it out to them. "I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going." I exclaim apologetically. I glance up and see Hermione, Harry and Ron looking at me. I clear my throat and look back down at the floor. "Watch where you're going Malfoy." Ron hisses at me and I nod. "I will, I promise." I mutter re-adjusting my backpack on my shoulder. I look around noticing people watching us but I don't react. "You really are the disappointment aren't you?" Hermione asks softly and I nod. "I never thought I'd say this, but maybe you should be more like Draco. Then people would actually care about you." Harry says and I stand up slightly taller, getting angrier every time he mentions being more like Draco. Harry smirks softly seeing my face change once I mention Draco. "See Draco is actually loyal to his family. I never had one but I know I wouldn't separate from them, no matter what they believed." Harry continues and I ball my fists taking deep breaths and counting in my head to calm me down as he continues talking, before being interrupted by someone.

"Harry, Hermione, Ron! Come on! We're going to be late to class!" Neville shouts and they push past me, causing my books to fall again. I sigh and kneel down to pick them up making sure I had them all. I see my sketchpad further away from me so I reach over to take it but someone else picks it up first, inspecting it. I look up and see Ginny in front of me looking over the book intrigued. She smiles at me softly before passing me the book. "You really are clumsy huh?" She asks and I nod, not being able to speak. I stand up, quickly putting my books away in my bag before she got a chance to look through them, not wanting her to see what I had drawn or written inside since it was personal. I avoid eye contact with her as she talks. "Come on, we should get to class before Snape loses his mind." She says and I nod, following her as she talks. We walk into the classroom and she is called by some other students. She smiles at me softly. "I'll see you around Malfoy." She says squeezing my arm before walking over to the students that had called for her. I watch her walk away before swiftly making my way to my normal seat at the back, alone. I run a hand through my hair as I adjust the glasses on my face, before setting my backpack on the desk and taking out my pen, notepad and textbook. I set them out in front of me leaning against my arm thinking to myself as I wait for Snape to arrive and begin teaching us. I glance over at Ginny and see her smiling and laughing with other students, causing a small smile to rise on my face. I didn't notice the person walking over to me, and taking the seat next to me.

"You're staring." They tell me and I snap out of it. I shake my head and sit up in my seat clearing my throat. "N-no I wasn't." I stutter, picking up my pen and writing in my notebook. The person chuckles and takes my pen from me. "You were. But that's okay, it's normal." They say and I sigh looking up. I notice the Hufflepuff ties and bite the inside of my cheek. I look up to their face and notice a set of green and a set of brown eyes looking back at me, with blonde hair framing both of their faces, before they speak again. "I'm Charlie. Charlie Harlot. This is my brother Issac" She tells me holding my hand out. "Nice to meet you. I'm Onyx. Onyx Malfoy." I say shaking their hands. "How come you sit alone?" She asks me and I shrug. "I'm not really liked around here. Are you new?" I ask noticing the American tinge to her voice and she nods. "Yeah, we transferred from Illvermorny." She says and I nod. They set their bag down and takes out her notepad and I notice the sketches all over it. "How come people don't like you Malfoy?" She asks and I run a hand through my hair before cleaning my throat.
